Meet Anthony Gleich | Husband, Dad, and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Gleich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I always keep in mind, running on faith. Without faith, there is no hope. I have always had an Entrepreneurial spirit. Building a business and knowing that your living depends on your productivity is a great responsibility. None of us have been created to be a failure. As we progress we have lessons learned and successes that shape our next steps. The faith is centered on always progressing and building. We cannot give up on our vision.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started in the lighting industry in 1986. I met my wife and we have been together ever since. Through the 90’s and until 2004 we were a 100% Native American-owned, 51% Woman-owned Corporation. Venessa and I married in 1990 and our daughter was born in 1992, and our son in 1995.
In 1995 our base of operations changed from Arizona to New Mexico and the Pueblo of Ohkay Owingeh. The corporation was closed and we moved back to Arizona and landed in Chandler. I was working for a non-profit and that evolved into a position with the Diocese of Phoenix. From 2005 to 2012 I was a youth and young adult minister. Make an Investment in Love and Kindness was born as part of the outreach.
In 2012 we took Make an Investment in Love and Kindness (M.I.L.K.) on its own as a non-profit corporation and attained our 501(c)(3) status on December 24, 2012. As a non-profit, it is not easy to make a living and I had a friend reach out to me that owned a lighting representation company. In 2013 Sower of the Seeds was launched as an LLC and has evolved into a business development, factory representation agency mainly focused on lighting, but includes other product factories related to construction and hospitality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sower of the Seeds territory in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and El Paso, Texas. I enjoy New Mexico’s food, visit Las Vegas often and Arizona has many great spots. Each individual is different. I have become a great listener and base hosting on what I hear will make someone happy.
If I can keep a genuine smile on someone’s face it does not matter where we are. The southwest is beautiful and offers so many unique opportunities for entertainment and leisure.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without the support of my wife, I would have never been able to create and experience the career path I have had.
