We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexsoy Music and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ALEXSOY, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was never just about creating a brand or making money—it was about building a platform that represents who I am and what I stand for. From the very beginning, I knew that my music was more than just a collection of songs; it was a voice for my community, a reflection of my culture, and a way to inspire others who might be facing similar challenges.

The thought process behind starting my own business was driven by a desire for creative freedom and a commitment to authenticity. I wanted to control my narrative, my sound, and the way my art is shared with the world. This journey has allowed me to connect more deeply with my audience, especially within the Latino community, by staying true to my roots while also pushing the boundaries of what Latin music can be.

Starting my own business also meant that I could create opportunities not just for myself, but for others who share the same passion and vision. Whether it’s collaborating with other artists, supporting up-and-coming talent, or giving back to the community, I wanted my business to be a vehicle for positive change. It’s about turning a dream into reality, and making sure that every step I take is a step forward for everyone who’s been with me on this journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my journey, my culture, and my identity as a Latino artist. What sets me apart is my ability to blend genres like R&B, hip-hop, soul, and Latin sounds into something that feels authentic and true to who I am. I don’t just make music; I tell stories—stories of love, struggle, triumph, and the Latino experience. My goal has always been to create music that resonates with people on a deep level, no matter where they come from.

I’m most proud of my latest project, Love in Spanish Vol. 2. This album is the culmination of years of hard work, growth, and evolution as an artist. It’s a project that honors my roots while pushing the boundaries of what Latin music can be. Seeing it connect with so many people, especially within the Latino community, is incredibly rewarding. It’s a reminder that our stories matter and deserve to be told.

Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy. I started with nothing—no connections, no resources, just a dream and a relentless work ethic. I’ve faced countless challenges along the way, from financial struggles to self-doubt. But every setback has taught me something valuable. I’ve learned that resilience is key, and that success doesn’t come overnight. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to yourself and your vision. There were times when I felt pressure to conform to what others expected of me or to follow trends. But I realized that my strength lies in my authenticity. People connect with realness, and that’s what I strive to bring to my music every day.

I want the world to know that my brand is about more than just music. It’s about celebrating culture, inspiring others, and giving back to the community. I’m not just making music for myself—I’m making it for every kid out there who feels like their voice doesn’t matter. My story is one of perseverance, passion, and the belief that anything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work.

In the end, I want people to see me as an artist who stayed true to his roots, who overcame the odds, and who made a difference through his music. Love in Spanish isn’t just an album; it’s a movement, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Phoenix, I’d make sure to highlight some of the best local spots. We’d kick things off with dinner at Barrio Café, known for its incredible Mexican cuisine. The next day, we’d explore Old Town Scottsdale, stopping by The Montauk for brunch and hitting up the local art galleries. Sedona would be a must for a day trip, with a hike at Cathedral Rock followed by lunch at Elote Café. Back in Phoenix, we’d check out Roosevelt Row’s vibrant art scene, grab pizza at Pizzeria Bianco, and end the night with live music at Crescent Ballroom. A visit to Café Monarch would make for a memorable dinner, and we’d wrap up the trip with a sunset at South Mountain and a farewell dinner at The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off, I want to say that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of so many incredible people and influences in my life. My journey has been one of perseverance and hard work, but it’s also been shaped by the encouragement and wisdom of others.

I have to give a huge shoutout to my family. They’ve always believed in me, even when I was just a kid with big dreams and no clear path. Their unwavering support has been the foundation of everything I do. My mother instilled in me the values of hard work and resilience, and my sister has always been there to lift me up during tough times.

WYASantana, my producer, deserves a massive shoutout as well. His creativity and dedication to our work have been key to bringing my music to life. He understands my vision like no one else, and together, we’ve been able to create something truly special with ‘Love in Spanish.’

John Fontenot, the drummer who brought so much energy and rhythm to the project, is another person I want to acknowledge. His talent added an incredible layer to our music, making it resonate even deeper with our audience.

I also want to recognize my mentor, Jorge Garcia (Founder of Nosotros Music Academy). His guidance and belief in my vision have been instrumental in helping me navigate the complexities of the industry. He’s been more than just a mentor—he’s been a true friend who’s always had my back.

Lastly, I want to shoutout to my fans and the Latino community. You all have been my motivation to keep pushing forward, and your support means the world to me. This journey isn’t just mine—it’s ours. Every stream, every share, every word of encouragement fuels my passion and drive to keep going.

So to everyone who has been a part of this journey—thank you from the bottom of my heart. This success is as much yours as it is mine.
