We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelcie Clinkenbeard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelcie, how does your business help the community?
I feel so strongly about how my business impacts the community. My work is centered around empowering women and people to take their healing and growth into their own hands. I am a healer at heart, and watching the growth of clients is so fulfilling. In the collective sense, my business is encouraging a world with less chronic stress, less disease, and more harmony in everyones lives.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is an ever evolving passion of mine. I began as a yoga teacher quickly turned yoga therapist, and then continued to pursue my passion in the education of behavioral health. For awhile I considered becoming a therapist, knowing I am here to help people. What I began to realize is that I did not want to be limited in the tools I could use to work with clients. I spent a few years working at Barrow Neurological, in the Parkinson’s center. This is where I discovered the power of subconscious meditation, and how that can be used to initiate healing on a deeper level. As a facilitator, I love giving people the most impactful experiences I can. The path here was not easy, as I began it with my own struggles with anxiety and overwhelm. I had to first weather my own storm before I could help others, and I had to dive deep into who I was to learn how to overcome my challenges. I was not willing to bandaid my anxiety, or overwhelm, and that determination for self-discovery has gotten me to where I am today. I have learned that if I lead with my intuition, it will always guide me. We all already have all the knowledge and intuition we need to heal ourselves, we just need to find it and tap into it. That is where my business comes in, I am here to guide others on their own path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend coming for a week, I would definitely plan some hikes. The wonderful thing about the Valley is there are hiking trails close to every area. I am near south mountain, which is super family friendly. Camelback mountain is one of my favorite hikes, its a pretty good challenge. I would also try and get out to do some paddle boarding on the river! We still have wild horses out there, its quite an experience to see them in their natural home. You cant leave out the golf as well! there is no shortage of beautiful golf courses in the area. There are also so many amazing restaurants to visit. One of my favorites are Buck & Rider, amazing oysters and such a fun ambiance. I also would take them to Ghost Ranch in Tempe. This is a favorite local spot for me. In my younger years I would have definitely been found in Old Town Scottsdale or on Mill in tempe, but these days I would be more likely to be found in downtown Chandler or Gilbert.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Jordan is definitely the person who deserves some recognition! He has been nothing but supportive over the years of training and schooling. He allowed me to practice my new yoga therapy methods on him, always believing in my path. I am so lucky to have him. Also, Inner vision yoga was the catalyst for opening my eyes to new ways of healing. Still my favorite yoga studio!
