Meet Dr. Lara & Johnny Fernandez | Holistic Love & Life Coaches

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Lara & Johnny Fernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Lara & Johnny, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The Feminine Radiance and Courage Institute came about in a really unique way. We never could have predicted it!
Lara here– after I got divorced at a young age and then spent the next decade attracting commitment-phobes and players, I realized I needed to TOTALLY change my approach to dating if I wanted to attract true love that lasts. I was a professional woman who was doing well in most areas of life… just not love. So I sought mentors and intentionally focused on attracting the right man, which led me to Johnny.
Fast forward to us being happily married with an amazing daughter. Johnny was a high school teacher planning to start his own charter high school, and I was a chiropractor running my own practice.
In 2005, my patients started asking how I found such an amazing man. So we set up a little workshop to share my intentional dating process. The reaction was incredible, and we realized we could truly help women.
By combining my unique path to love with Johnny’s perspective as a man, we created a truly special community and a method that has since helped countless women attract the true love, marriage, and family they deserve.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since 2005, it’s been our mission to help women attract the love AND the life of their dreams, so they can truly have it all. It’s not about superficial, quick tips and tricks to get a date. It’s about a whole new mindset that supports the balanced life and healthy love we all want.
Most love coaches are either a man or a woman coaching alone– and many of them don’t have soulmate love themselves. Since we coach together, we’re really proud to be able to offer both a masculine and feminine perspective and to teach tools that we know work because we’ve used them ourselves over our nearly 24 years of marriage.
Just like any other part of life, the road traveled as we built our business wasn’t always free of obstacles. Trying to show our potential clients that they are worthy of love isn’t always easy. We’re not selling a product that can be bought while you‘re out at the mall. It’s so easy to say “I deserve this new pair of shoes!” But unfortunately, it can be really hard to declare “I am worthy of unconditional love” and then act accordingly to prepare for that.
So, despite society’s message that single women are broken and unlovable and yet also somehow wrong for wanting love… the fact that we’ve built the Love Warrior Community as a place for women to come together and declare what they deserve is EASILY what we are most proud of.
And we’re very excited for the future, because after almost two decades of coaching professional women to have it all on their terms, officiating weddings, and welcoming Love Warrior babies, we’ve only just begun.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, first and most importantly, FOOD is a great place to start. A couple great places I’d take my friend to eat are:
– Linden Organic Cafe in Gilbert: Fresh super high quality food, drinks, snacks and deserts. Worth a trip!
– The Coronado PHX: Cozy plant based restaurant with amazing food, generous portions, and chill vibe. They also have cocktails, beer, wine, and a patio!
Then if we wanted to get out in nature, which I always do, we’d definitely go for a hike to enjoy some sun and beautiful views!
– Granite Mountain Loop Trail
– one of the trails off the Brown’s Ranch Trailhead
For another nature-y but less physical option, we could also go to the Desert Botanical Garden, which I love because there’s not only beautiful desert plants, but sometimes art installations from local artists within the botanical garden!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, it may be a cliche, but it’s so true: We want to give a shoutout to our clients– we call them Love Warriors. We truly wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for this amazing community.
It’s so much more than just events or programs. They’re warm, welcoming, smart women who have brought life to the Feminine Radiance and Courage Institute. It’s because of them that our mission has been able to get to where it is today.
We support them, they support each other, and truthfully, when we’ve gone through hard times in our own lives, they have supported us with their energy, inspiration, and understanding.
All of this fuels our passion for our mission even more, and it paves the way to welcome more amazing women into the Love Warrior Community.
