Meet Austin Kurtz

We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Kurtz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important factor in our success is our ability to work as a two-headed monster at the top. Brian and I are always focused on getting each others back in the pursuit of the best product for the clients. We aim to offer an elite level of service to clients in their serious time of need.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is offering an elite level of service to personal injury clients all across the Valley. We have a lighting bolt in our logo and believe in our tagline – Let Lighting Strike and Justice Roll. The purpose behind this is to move like an Arizona Monsoon; loud, bold, fast, and without remorse. We pride ourselves in advocating for those that cannot advocate for themselves, storming through whatever is in the way.
Our brand itself is unique and fun. We don’t take ourselves too seriously but feel confident contending against any of the elite lawyers in town. Our service relies on efficiency and utilizing emergences in technology to offer a better product to the defendants and to our clients.
We’re most proud of the camaraderie within our firm and the notion that we are growing something people want to be a part of. it is flattering that people are having a blast right alongside us. We’ve really leaned into social events to expose our personality and showing that practicing law doesn’t have to always be a drag.
It was anything but easy to form the firm but its also been tons of fun. Brian and I are addicted to getting 1% better everyday and we are far from a finished product. Everyday is a new challenge. Whether its staffing, to office space, to handling random client needs; its always a new adventure.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A week long trip for a friend visiting? First I would have them show me how they found the time to take a week long trip and follow their lead 🙂
Arizona is an amazing place. It depends the time of year. If its hot out, options are limited. However, assuming it was the ideal time in Arizona, November – March, there would be a lot to do.
For food, there would be 3 MUSTS: 1) we would have to hit Pizza to the Rescue, support Almost There Foster Care, and get some of the best Za in town. 2) Cafe Otro/Gallo Blanco, Chef Doug Robinson makes the best Mexican food in town. 3) Bad Jimmys. Bad Jimmys is the best burger in town and can compete with any burger nationwide. The real sleeper on their menu is the wedge salad though. Burger, fries, wedge; a must….also bonus option, hitting JT’s Bar and Grill for the best wings in town and to catch a game.
For drinks, were hitting Ohso Arcadia, rooftop at Global Ambassador, and the Wrigley. All super different vibes but very enchanting in their own rights.
For activities, were absolutely hiking Camelback Mountain one morning. Its cliche, but the view is unreal and a great little morning workout. We’re probably going to golf one of Arizona’s amazing golf courses….and finally, if they will let me get them a little out of town, were going to go up north to my favorite spot in Arizona, Christopher Creek, and take in a little quiet time away from it all.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are several groups. Brian and I individually both have individuals that have influenced our lives and careers, but collectively, we are very thankful for Bob Simon (of the Simon Law Group) and Justice HQ for giving us the courage, support–and even temporary office space–to get off the ground.
