Meet Alicia Fortune | Owner & CEO Cerulean Human Health Performance

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Fortune and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I am a Mom first I often say and then a business woman. I recently found another publication where I was featured, prior to my love of Functional Medicine and integrative modalities. I was featured for Eli Lilly as one of their top Executive Pharmaceutical Sales Reps for 13 years specially regarding exceptional customer experience. Even then I commented that in regard to the secret to my success it is Motherhood. That everything I do is in an effort to be a great example for my dynamic son Tayten. He is almost 16 years old and he is my joy, and true and authentic inspiration in my life. Tayten is a star student and athlete; a competitive club swimmer since he was 8 and now also top High School Varsity and state swimmer as well aspiring to swim in college and beyond…with his goal of the Olympics. He is fluent in Mandarin and a true courageous rockstar. As Tayten’s mom the most important thing I have done to make impact on him is to pass the legacy family values that my parents gifted me…unconditional love, unconditional support…that if you can dream it, you can do it, and the validation that he and his voice matters in the world. Not only does Tayten’s voice matter, but he is unique and exquisite and the one only individual that will do what he is set out to do, make his impact and accomplish his dreams. I share with Tayten…be authentic, be present and chase dreams. I wanted to be a CEO since I was a little girl and literally wore skirts, blazers and dressy shoes to Kindergarten. Motherhood and my son Tayten are truly a part of my inspiration to be the best version of myself including the courage to become an entrepreneur. Did I dare to dream. and do?….Absolutely.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am honored to have had a such a wonderful career focused on helping others and making impact in health and wellness. I was a Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Rep with Eli Lilly for 14 years and had the opportunity to work in different medical therapeutic areas and learn about disease states and partner with some of the most dynamic Physicians in the county to partner for better outcomes for patients and people. Providing exceptional customer experiences, customer service, and providing answers that matter were an expertise I was known for in the the Pharmaceutical industry. I took pride in striving to help others and improve wellness. From the Pharmaceutical industry, I was then unexpectedly recruited as Business Director to help oversee one of the top Functional Medical practices in the country in Scottsdale, LifeScape Premier. It was at LifeScape where I fell in love with Functional Medicine and the opportunity with our dynamic wellness team to truly aim to care for patients based on whole health and the whole person and the root cause approach to medicine. I am grateful for the LifeScape team, the wonderful patients we cared for that I got the honor to know, and all that I learned. I had wanted to be a CEO from Kindergarten, and when I left the Functional medical practice to chase the next level of dreams, my then CEO let me know…well “you cannot contain a butterfly”. That was true and stuck with me. I went on to the next opportunity Cerulean Human Health Performance where the world was Functional modalities to heal people/patients with a functional and integrative approach. As the Vice President for 2 years, I led the relaunch of the elite wellness company and had the dream to be the next CEO. With focus, hard work and dedication to regrow a brand that was started from the focus of Pro Athlete Performance & Recovery. With all the stars aligned, the relaunch compete and a new mission of comprehensive heath optimization for all types of wellness clients with many wellness focuses, I then acquired Cerulean Human Health Performance in 2024 as the new Owner and CEO. I made my little girl dreams come true and now the real hard work began and the opportunity to continue to build an authentic, present, dream and legacy for my son and I. Each and every day I love what I do, what we stand for, and am committed to my team, the wonderful clients/patients we serve, the collaborative partners we have made and the health and wellness industry we continuously disrupt. Optimal Health is the real wealth in our world and each day as a company and brand we have the gift and opportunity to optimize health and lives. #grateful

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Favorite things to do in AZ: If I had a best friend or family visit here are some of my favorites in AZ:
East Valley: Hit the gym at our LifeTime Fitness Gilbert, grabbing some Lululemon fitness gear on the way out of Gilbert, do a wellness walk or play the green in our neck of the woods Ocotillo, Chandler which has the gorgeous Ocotillo Country Club. Cruise to Scottsdale to grab lunch at one of my favorites Olive & Ivy, and then to take a hike and tour of the beautiful Camelback Mountain and then to get tea and snack at the Phoenican Resort and tour the cactus garden. Get appetizers at the Sanctuary Spa Report and a massage and facial. From there, we head to the Four Seasons up at Trune North for more golf and hike, tennis and dinner at the fabulous Talavera outdoor sunset views. From there we stay at the Four Seasons Trune North. The next day we head to one of me and my son’s favorite get-away’s Sedona and stay at Enchantment Resort and then enjoy the rest of the weekend of hiking, golf, tennis, spa, and cuisine of all of Chef Lisa Dahl’s amazing restaurants there in Sedona.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is so easy to answer since my gratitude is priceless and so is my amazing family. I want to dedicate my Shoutout series to my Mom & Dad, my son Tayten and my Brother. All have given me the unconditional love and unconditional support to chase my dreams. My parents taught and instilled the family values that encourage love, authenticity, presence and dreams. All of my family inspires me to be the best version of myself and to make impact in the world. My son Tayten has shown me that unconditional love as a mom is priceless and my favorite joy in life. I try to not take things for granted in life and have found that being gratitude focused keeps you humble and appreciative for life itself. The love of my family and friends are truly the icing on the cake of life.
