We had the good fortune of connecting with Khaki Wennstrom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khaki, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I created Métier Maison to redefine luxury real estate by bringing together a carefully curated network of top-producing agents who share not only a commitment to excellence but also a strong ethical foundation. Each agent in our network has been handpicked for their experience, professionalism, and deep connections within the luxury real estate market. They come from diverse brokerages, but all share the same values of integrity, trust, and a client-first approach.

The vision behind Métier Maison was to create a platform where clients, whether buying or selling luxury homes, could rest assured that they would receive the highest level of service—no matter where they are in the world. We understand that luxury real estate is more than just a transaction; it’s about building lasting relationships and ensuring that every detail is taken care of with the utmost attention.

Additionally, we partner with elite luxury brands—relationships that have been carefully nurtured over time—to present our properties in the most captivating and exquisite way. Our goal is to provide our clients not only with top-tier real estate expertise but with an unparalleled experience that reflects the prestige and beauty of the properties we represent and bringing maximum exposure in the luxury space.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career began with a deep passion for luxury and hospitality, where I honed my skills at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Hotel Group in Boston. Initially starting as a wedding planner, I quickly advanced to the role of Director of Weddings and Sales, where I not only exceeded sales targets but also shattered records, helping to elevate the brand’s reputation in the industry. My efforts culminated in an 80%+ increase in food and beverage revenue, a milestone that contributed significantly to the hotel’s acquisition. This success laid the foundation for my strategic approach to both customer experience and revenue growth.

From luxury hospitality, I transitioned into the world of fashion with the opening of a high-end boutique on the Main Line of Philadelphia. The boutique was soon recognized as one of the best of Philadelphia, a testament to the curated selection of exclusive brands and impeccable service. I made a groundbreaking move by being the first store in the world to introduce the Ulla Johnson brand, solidifying my reputation as a tastemaker with a unique eye for fashion. Under my leadership, the store enjoyed six years of outstanding success, ultimately culminating in a strategic acquisition.

Seeking new challenges, I moved to Connecticut to take on the role of Director of Business Development, Marketing, and Sales for the first alcohol seltzer brand on the market. As the sole player in this category for a full year, I was tasked with building the brand from the ground up. Through innovative marketing, strategic collaborations, and a deep understanding of consumer trends, I brought unparalleled exposure to the brand, establishing it as a leader in the burgeoning market. Within less than three years, my efforts led to a highly successful acquisition by Anheuser-Busch, further solidifying my ability to drive growth and create market leaders.

My journey took another exciting turn when I ventured into Luxury Real Estate in the renowned communities of Rancho Santa Fe and the San Diego Coast. Here, I applied my expertise in luxury, marketing, and sales to break new ground in the real estate sector. By showcasing properties in innovative and immersive ways—utilizing cutting-edge technology, personalized storytelling, and high-impact digital marketing—I consistently exceeded expectations and broke sales records. My approach not only elevated the real estate experience but also set a new standard for how luxury properties are presented and sold.

Today, I bring together all my diverse experiences—luxury hospitality, high-end fashion, business development, sales, and real estate innovation—under one umbrella—Métier Maison. A luxury real estate marketing platform where the agents are working together to showcase our properties in this luxury space. Whether it’s elevating a luxury hotel experience, curating a fashion boutique, building a beverage brand, or reshaping the way real estate is marketed and sold, I’m driven by a commitment to excellence, creativity, and results. Through a combination of vision, strategy, and passion, I’ve built a career that thrives on identifying opportunities and transforming them into lasting success and creating a global platform of luxury real estate like no other.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our first stop would be to walk the beaches of Del Mar and fit in a hike at Torrey Pines and enjoy a beautiful sunset and don’t miss a fish taco at the Brigantine.
The evening would start at Lillian’s, The Inn of Rancho Santa Fe in their new quaint bar and end the evening at the iconic restaurant Mille Fleur, a legendary french cuisine restaurant in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. If it is a Friday or Saturday night enjoy the piano bar after your incredible dinner.

There are over 80 miles of horse trails around Rancho Santa Fe to enjoy in the morning after grabbing coffee at Cafe Positano. If you are a golfer Rancho Santa Fe has some of the most legendary golf courses in the world. If you are lucky to be with a Rancho Santa Fe Covenant resident enjoy playing at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club which has recently had a huge renovation and is to be listed as one of the best golf courses in the world.

Enjoy an entire day at Rancho Valencia Spa, also rated one of the best spa’s in the world, followed by dinner in their incredible restaurant, the Pony Room.

Del Mar is such a special beach town filled with restaurants, shops and such an incredible experience for guests. If you come during the Race Season, an added bonus to experience the Del Mar Races.

Solana Beach – also incredible restaurants, art galleries and shops and love to bring my best friends to Cedros which is filled with interior design and incredible boutiques that also share the Solana Beach vibe. Walk from Cedros down to Fletcher Cove which has an incredible park for kids and incredible beach of course.

Encinitas – home to some of the most legendary surfers and a vibrant coastal town known for its laid-back vibe, great surf, and botanical gardens. Moonlight Beach is an incredible beach to visit. Also check out the San Diego Botanic Gardens and Swami’s Cafe for lunch.

La Jolla – Don’t miss drinks or lunch at the legendary “Pink Lady” of La Valencia. Walk to the Cove which is famous for its sea lions and incredible sunset views. You can also take a kayak tour or stand-up paddleboard along the coast.

There is so much beauty and so much to explore on a visit to San Diego, but these are a few of my favorite things.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom deserves my shoutout. She always said that I would be incredible in real estate but also appreciated that I wanted to do real estate differently. She is not just an incredible mother, but has been my partner in every dream and vision I’ve ever had. From the moment an idea sparks in my mind, she is always there—helping me shape it, nurture it, and bring it to life.

Her unwavering support isn’t just about being by my side; it’s about the way she understands the importance of connecting the dots, of bridging the gaps, and of thinking outside the box to turn challenges into opportunities. Her creativity and insight are the foundation that has helped me grow in ways that go beyond what words can express.
She has been a constant source of strength and inspiration. She makes every dream feel possible, and for that, I will forever be grateful.
