We had the good fortune of connecting with Steve Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steve, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always wanted to work and own my own business . I have a vast skill set from many trades that apply to powerline construction and electrical work . I also see a lot of people getting taken advantage of .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My integrity and genuinely care about doing things right and more importantly safely. 26 yrs ago I was introduced to powerline work and it for my mechanical skill set. I wouldn’t say easy every trade has its challenges but overall I feel I excelled due to being mechanically inclined from a young age. The biggest challenge was other people that found later saw me as a threat due to me making things look easy . Lesson learned don’t share great ideas with the wrong people they tend to steal them and sell those ideas or solutions as their own . I realized about 5 yrs ago I truly enjoy teaching the up and coming apprentices to work safe so they can have a long happy career . That I care and our slogan is “ we do electric right “ meaning we work safe and ensure work is done to the highest level possible cutting no corners and sending our team home to their families every day .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I probably would take them to the lake camping, wake boarding/wake surfing and a little fishing on the flip side we may pull my twin turbo car out of the shop and go drag racing .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife and children for unwavering support to take the leap
