We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Raber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the world around me which is part of why we travel! All of the amazing places we visit wind their way into the design portion of my business and bring new and exciting ideas for me to bring to life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our work as the RoadRabers is all about inspiring families to embrace adventure, live intentionally, and pursue their dreams—whatever those dreams may look like. We create content that bridges the gap between the aspirational and the practical, sharing stories, advice, and resources that empower others to live their dream, their way.

What Sets Us Apart:
What makes us unique is our authenticity and willingness to share every part of our journey—the highs, the lows, and the lessons in between. We’re not just highlighting the picture-perfect moments of RV life; we’re showing the breakdowns, the challenges of balancing travel with homeschooling, and even the times when we’ve had to pause and reassess. Our content isn’t just about us; it’s about connecting with and serving a community of like-minded adventurers.

We also bring a diverse skill set to the table. James shares technical expertise through RV maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, while Kelly provides a unique perspective on health and wellness through our health-conscious lifestyle. Together, we create content that’s both inspiring and practical, helping families feel confident about pursuing their own adventures.

What We’re Most Proud Of:
We’re incredibly proud of the impact our work has had on others. Hearing from families who’ve decided to hit the road, try something new, or overcome their own challenges because of our content is the ultimate reward. We’re also proud of the partnerships we’ve built with brands that align with our values, allowing us to share products and solutions we genuinely believe in.

How We Got Here and What We’ve Learned:
Our journey hasn’t been easy. Building a life on the road while growing a business has come with its share of challenges. In 2023, we faced one of our toughest seasons when our trailer required major repairs, forcing us to pause our travels and live stationary for nine months. During that time, we felt defeated, even questioning whether we could continue creating content.

But that moment of struggle turned into an opportunity to reflect and reset. We took a step back, reassessed our goals, and found clarity about the kind of creators we wanted to be. We learned that resilience isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about adapting, learning from setbacks, and staying true to your purpose.

What We Want the World to Know:
At the heart of the RoadRabers is a simple belief: You can live your dream, your way. Whether that’s traveling full-time, embracing a new lifestyle, or simply finding joy in the every day, we want to empower others to make it happen. Our story is one of adventure, family, and growth, and we’re excited to continue inspiring and connecting with our community.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Besides my family who are always there to support and lift me up are honestly strangers, turned friends, who eventually became clients when they saw something in me that I didn’t recognize myself.
