We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Bozenski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Denise, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of both Fetch This Canine and Revive & Thrive Canine Wellness has been staying focused on what truly matters: the dog’s well-being.

For Fetch This Canine, it’s about helping dogs and their people build clear, kind communication and trust so they can enjoy life together. Training isn’t just about commands; it’s about creating connection and confidence for both ends of the leash.

With Revive & Thrive Canine Wellness, that same mindset carries into wellness. I look at the whole dog, nutrition, environment, emotional health, and hands-on bodywork, to support their long-term well-being. Whether it’s massage, customized meal plans, or targeted support, I create personalized plans that help each dog feel and move their best.

At the end of the day, I care deeply about the dogs in front of me and the people who love them. I think that genuine care and commitment to helping dogs thrive is what has allowed both of my brands to grow in a way that feels meaningful.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work really centers around helping dogs live well and helping the people who love them feel confident in how they support them.

Through Fetch This Canine, I focus on balanced dog training that goes beyond teaching commands. It’s about building clear communication, fostering trust, and helping dogs and their people truly enjoy life together.

With Revive & Thrive Canine Wellness, I take a holistic, proactive approach to canine health; foundational nutrition, environmental wellness, hands-on bodywork, and personalized plans that help dogs feel and move their best for as long as possible.

What really sets me apart is how these two worlds intertwine. Wellness affects training, and training affects wellness. Certain wellness conditions can affect behavior and a dog without structure and mental stability can struggle to feel well. By looking at the whole dog, physically, mentally, and emotionally, I help dogs thrive in a realistic, sustainable way.

I’m most proud of the trust clients place in me and the transformations I get to witness; fearful dogs finding confidence, senior dogs moving with more comfort, and owners gaining clarity and connection with their dogs.

Getting here wasn’t always easy. Like many who work with animals, I’ve faced moments of heartbreak, burnout, and doubt. I’ve lost dogs too soon, made mistakes I’ve learned from, and had to figure out how to build a business while staying true to my values. But each challenge has made me a better trainer, a better wellness practitioner, and a better human for the dogs in my care.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to listen to the dog in front of me. They always tell you what they need if you’re willing to pay attention. And also to trust the process, growth doesn’t happen overnight, for dogs or for us, but the small steps we take each day truly add up.

What I want the world to know about my brands and story is that I care deeply about dogs and the people who love them. Whether it’s training, wellness, or hands-on recovery work, I’m here to help dogs live well and families feel empowered in how they support them, so they can all enjoy the years they have together to the fullest.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d want them to experience my world, good food, relaxed days, dogs included, and a few people-only outings too (because sometimes they have to happen).

Mornings would start at Brothers Restaurant in Peoria because I’m from Jersey, and nothing beats a good diner breakfast. The dogs would come along, of course, because they’re part of the family.

We’d check out the Desert West Farmers Market with the dogs (as long as it’s not summer) to walk around, grab local finds, and enjoy the small community feel.

During the afternoons and evenings, we’d do trail walks or neighborhood strolls with the dogs; quiet, simple, and a good way to let them sniff and explore and my best friend and I shoot the breeze.

For dinner, we’d find a dog-friendly patio spot in the West Valley to enjoy good food and hang out while the dogs settle by our feet.

At least one evening would be reserved for a Diamondbacks game, no dogs, just people, because sometimes you need a night out with a cold drink, stadium lights, and the energy of a ball game to soak in the Arizona vibe.

For me, a perfect week is a mix of good food, fresh air, dog time, and simple fun with people I care about. That’s what I’d want to share most.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate this shoutout to the dogs in my life, past and present, especially my girls. The ones who left too soon, who taught me about love, loss, and resilience, and the ones I’ve been able to help thrive, who remind me every day why this work matters. They’re the reason I do what I do, and their stories are woven into both Fetch This Canine and Revive & Thrive Canine Wellness.

I’m also incredibly grateful to my family for always supporting my love of dogs, even when it meant the house was filled with dogs or I was missing out on a family event because a dog needed me. And to my friends and clients who have trusted me with their dogs; I don’t take that lightly. Your trust allows me to keep learning, growing, and helping dogs live their best lives.

It’s really the dogs, and the people who love them, who deserve the credit in this journey with me.
