Meet Matt Brown | Physical Therapist and Clinic Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Physical therapy and healthcare in general have a broken system that is not quality focused and there was a gap between traditional PT and where highly active clients/athletes/former athletes need to get to. I wanted to break out of the traditional model and focus on high quality care for former athletes and athletes that will actually get them better

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is Corrective Physical Therapy and we are a cash pay clinic that specializes in athletes/former athletes and young professionals who are competitive, love sports and being active for their mental health, and just overall passionate about health. We help these people stay active, feel good and be the best person they can be in their body.
Business is definitely not easy. There is so many ups and downs emotionally, challenges at every stage and just living in the unknown. One of the biggest things I did that changed the business for the better is to get a coach/mentor to help me every step of the way.
Corrective Physical Therapy is where former athletes and young professionals go to recover from injury and leave better than they were before. We go above and beyond for our clients and team. We want everyone to succeed and achieve their dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Scottsdale is an amazing place to vacation. Should start your trip by laying by the pool at the Phoenician. Grab dinner at Etta. Grab drinks at multiple different bars in oldtown scottsdale. Get up the next day and go golfing at starfire golf course. The following day if you have time drive up to Sedona and do an amazing day trip there

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife and my father are extremely important to my success. Always being there for me, helping me when I’m down, supporting my dreams and just helping me become the best version of myself.
My other shout out goes to my business coach/mentor. Keeps me inline, challenges me, and helps me stay focused on my goals, overcoming obstacles and just generally awesome person that has been crucial to the success of my business
