We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Alexis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I believe in teaching others from what I have learned. Stories from others are very powerful and I love sharing what I have learned along the way from nutrition, to feeling good in my 60’s, to how to work out as I age and the benefits of healthy boundaries. On my socials, i get a lot of positive feedback and gratitude for bringing to light certain subjects.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
After school, I immediately went into the modeling and fashion world in New York City. At 25, I transitioned into broadcasting and from there went on the speaking circuit talking about health and nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle way before we were focusing on longevity and wellness as a nation. I now have a real estate license as well as certification as both a fitness instructor and an Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP). I am the National Wellness Ambassador for all the Trilogy by Shea Homes active adult communities and use what I have learned to encourage and promote healthy living, diet and lifestyle.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I actually just had a friend come visit from Florida. We went up to the Navajo Nation to tour some of the amazing scenery we have here in Arizona. We came back to Scottsdale and went to the Farmers Market down in Old Town, had a nice burger at Burger Therpy and went on long walks on the Indian Bend Wash. My son came out and a highlight of his trip was an amazing dinner at Americano where my friend Beau McMillian is the owner and chef. What an amazing meal. After, we went down to his Speakeasy and enjoyed desserts too big to finish!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank God from whom all blessings flow and also to all of the people who have encouraged me along the way to keep transitioning and moving forward with my passions. My husband plays a big part in this as well as friends. My parents instilled in me a desire and love to learn new things and always encouraged me to step out and trying something new.
