We had the good fortune of connecting with Marifed Salas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marifed, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
As a mother of two girls, I believe that having my own business allows me to be a more present mother. I’m fortunate to be able to balance the work I love with my personal life. I also believe that being a mompreneur can motivate them in the future, showing them that they can truly achieve anything they set their minds to.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The idea for this business arose six years ago as a hobby, decorating for celebrations for close friends and family. Over time, we noticed that our creations were well-received, so we decided to register a company and begin training. The journey, full of ups and downs, with barriers like language, was completely overcome. After becoming a mother four and two years ago, I’ve come to value our business even more, as it has allowed me to combine both roles. I can do what I’m passionate about and still be a present mother. Today, we have a portfolio of satisfied clients, and we are very grateful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family in nature. We love camping, and exploring every corner of Arizona is what we enjoy most. We truly love being outdoors.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely, a lot of inspiration comes from seeing great balloon artists achieve their dreams in this country. We must mention the “Decolover” who are role models; we trained at their academy and since then they inspire us every day to believe that we can achieve anything we set our minds to in the decoration industry, which is constantly changing and growing.
