Meet Brijal Raut: Photographer & Chemist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brijal Raut and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brijal, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
First of all, this is Brijal Manohar Raut. I have completed my graduation in BSc. Chemistry in year 2015. I started working as a chemist in a manufacturing factory since the year I completed my graduation. But photography had my heart always. I m a phone photography enthusiast. I always wanted to push my limits as a photographer, also I had some responsibilities to look after so I had to stick to the job. Now i am financially stable and I want to persue photography. I want Photography to be my full time job. I want to be known as a photographer. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As I said I am a chemist by profession. I work in a injection manufacturing factory So it demands all my concentration. And I have immense love for photography. So m tending my tartget a lil everyday. I keep editing stuff i click and keep practicing new things. Trying to buy equipments I need for turning my passion into profession. Besides I love working as a chemist too. It’s a job full of responsibilty, to ensure whether medicine or drug one maybe intaking is proper or not is what my job includes. Yeah I do feel proud to be a chemist too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I live in a Maharashtra. The state full of wonders, greenery, beaches, rivers and forts. The place I live is just 1km away from beach. So if I want to take my best friend for a trip, I will plan a camping at a beach in night on first day and eat homemade momos. Then next day we would leave for mountains max 6hrs journey. Would book a villa and explore places near by. Forts, mountains, shops and many. If I continue the itinerary would long for a month 😁

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Everyone in my journey have played a vital role in what I have achieved today or what I will be achieving in a future. Support as well as criticism keeps you on right track. My family, my friends even my colleagues have helped me with my passion. They encourage me to travel. Some would even skip their important task to be with me on a photowalk. And I m grateful to have such friends around me.
