We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Hamid and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I think being dedicated to my personal routines/habits like sleeping enough, exercising, studying faithfully, and following up with clients promptly!Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Health coaching is a relatively new field but fills in a big gap in the health and wellness industry. As a certified holistic health coach, I offer support to help individuals nourish their bodies through tailored nutrition, exercise, stress-reduction, and more! While more and more health coaches are entering the field, I feel confident in having been certified by The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in both their integrative nutrition coaching program and their hormone health coaching certification which is now my area of focus. My training along with my personal experiences has made me a better, more empathetic coach! I’m still growing my coaching practice/business, but I’ve learned that patience and persistence is the key to make anything successful. I also think being reminded of your “why” is important to keep going and stay inspired…my “why” was ultimately to help fellow women balance their hormones and support fertility. Having helped several women get to a better place health-wise has given me the inspiration I need to keep going despite the ups and downs of running a business. My goal as a coach is to use my personal experiences to have more empathy and care for each woman I work with, all while honoring their unique story! Tailoring each of my coaching programs to fit the bio-individual needs of my clients, has made all the difference in the results they see in the years that follow..Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Old Town Scottsdale is a must on my list when friends are in town! The food scene is vibrant, the shops are quaint, and the art galleries are full of amazing pieces unique to Arizona. “The Art Walk” is a great time to explore this area as artist are sometimes working on sculptures or paintings in their galleries. Another favorite is The Canal Club at The Scott Resort and Spa, it’s a unique spot with a 1950s Cuban vibe! It’s a great place for lunch and a very instagrammable spot. The Desert Botanical Gardens is also a must on my list! (Located in Papago Park.) They offer lots of great events and ever changing exhibits along with a fantastic restaurant, Gertrude’s. The menu showcases local ingredients from artisans and farmers around Arizona and the Southwest…which can be enjoyed on their beautiful patio! Papapgo Park also offers several trails to hike or bike the unique red buttes including the famous (hole in the rock.) For shopping, Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter are a must! These open-air shopping centers are walking distance from one another with several spots that offer a “park like” feel. There are over 80 retailers to choose from, which offers something for everyone. True Food Kitchen, Sur La Table, and Queen Creek Olive Mill Marketplace are a few of my favorite stops. These are just a few (of many) great spots to explore! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without the support, love, and encouragement of my family, I wouldn’t have pursued my health coaching practice. They have encouraged me from the beginning to pursue this venture of helping others live a healthier, happier life! I learned a lot about business and customer service from my mom..(a talented businesswoman and principal of design firm, Bloem Home.) Watching her go above and beyond clients’ expectations and provide varied services has inspired me to do the same! I hope to provide my services with as much enthusiasm as she does.
