Meet Christian Van Bebber | Graphic Designer & Illustrator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Van Bebber and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My goal is to cultivate culture. To enrich peoples lives by encouraging their passions and sharing their stories.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well I’m a graphic designer, so you probably automatically think of logos, business cards and Canva commercials. But I consider myself more of a story teller. People love stories, and pretty much everything is telling a story. The patch on your hat, the logo on a building or even the color of the coffee cup you’re sippin out of. I’m passionate to find and help share your stories and dreams! I think this set me apart from other people and designers in the industry. I’m on the hunt for inspiring stories, not the next paycheck. That hun is not easy however. And I by no means have made it big or arrived in any sense of the word. I am still very much so in the beginning and growing stages. I’m excited though because I know I am in process, and one my personal mottos is “Enjoy The Process”. The process is where real work and growth comes from. And as I work through my process, I want to come along side and help share the lessons and outcomes of your process.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I live by South Mountain, so first I would take them on a morning hike and show off beautiful downtown Phoenix. From there I would show them the next hikes on the list. To be a real Phoenician we will hike Camelback and Flat Iron, and then for the grand finale Four Peaks. I hope my friend is in good shape! To cool off we could strap up the kayaks and go cruise though Canyon Lake, even catch some fish in the Salt River. A day trip to Sedona is for sure on the list as well!
For food I would take them to my favorite spots like Hummus Express and Salad n Go (breakfast and dinner!). Press coffee in the morning, and then get some remote work in at Cider Corps!
When we’re not adventuring we can check out Kiwanis Park and Tempe Town Lake. Finally I would have to take them to the greatest campus in the world – Arizona State University! Go Devils!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My journey is one filled with men and women much wiser than me, encouraging and guiding me forward as a person and creative. I have too many people I could shout out here, so I’ll just say thank you to Jesus, the one who has provided all I have in this life!
