Meet Kali Leading Fox | Permanent Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kali Leading Fox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kali, what are you inspired by?
A few years back I actually had my eyebrows done and they didn’t come out good. The artist who did them was not understanding of my frustration and disappointment. It was hard, because this was something on my face. A short time later, I came across a different artist who corrected my eyebrows from the first time I had them done. After my eyebrows were done correctly, I felt like a million bucks! Not long after, I realized I wanted to make women feel amazing like I had felt. I also wanted to bring understanding and compassion to women who may not have had a good experience before coming to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I focus on ombré powder brow. Giving women fuller, enhanced eyebrows. Eyebrows are a huge part of your appearance and when they are more shapely and full, it gives a more youthful look to your face. It’s for women of all ages, and helps with confidence and saving time on your makeup routine! I like to give a softer, more natural look but I can also give a bolder brow to those who want it. I enjoy seeing women so happy with their results and helping them feel confident and beautiful!

I put a lot of time into my brand and making a name for myself. It is not easy, you have to practice, and put a lot into this art to be good! Also putting yourself out there and be willing to accept constructive criticism. I will always strive to be better so I will never stop learning when it comes to permanent makeup.

I want people to know that this is more than a job for me, it is my passion!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Phoenix and surrounding areas have the best hiking trails! We love to hike! I really love 1st Water Trail, Hieroglyphics Trail and San Tan Mountain which are close by and hikes my kids can go on and keep up! Brown mountain is also a lot of fun and a workout! We love Salt River and lake Apache so those are must see places too! We love the aquariums, the zoo and The Dolly Steamboat!

I have too many restaurants to name that I love and would want to take my friends to but some of our favorites that we go to are Rosa’s Mexican Grill, Si Senor Mexican Restaurant, Zushi, Venezia’s pizza and Crackers and co cafe.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Randy. We always wanted to make sure one of us was available to our kids. This profession allows that since I work my own schedule. But in order to get there, he worked extra hours to allow me to go to training and get my certifications. He encouraged me and still encourages me constantly. He believes in me!

My trainers at Bladed Beauty and Beauty and Ink have also been a huge part of helping me to through my journey!
