We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Romo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?

“When there’s a smile in your heart, there’s no better time to start. Think of all the joy you’ll find when you leave the world behind and bid your fears goodbye. You can fly!” – Peter Pan

This quote inspired me to create a little serendipity as a tribute to a fun filled childhood and a dream to create a maniacal journey for my babies. Being a mom to four little ones, I am always looking for new ways to show them things, teach them about the wonderful stuff the world has to offer. I’m always searching for ways to inspire them to be great and follow their own dreams. Creating my business not only provides me with the flexibility to work around my family, it also gives me the opportunity to put a little magic in every ones home.

What should our readers know about your business?
I create personalized treasures that bring joy to others and capture moments in time. Its a blessing to be able to provide someone with a sentimental keepsake that can be cherished for years to come. I’ve had the pleasure of making one of kind gifts for newly weds, birth announcements, new homes, and above all I have inspired children to be creative and add a splash of color to the world, with my diy family craft kits! Although this journey has come with its share of obstacles and tears, what keeps me going is the way my kids have also embraced these life lessons. They see the values of hard work and dedication. They are influenced by other people’s passions and hobbies as they have spent lots of Saturday mornings at farmers markets with my husband and I. They are my cheerleaders and number one supporters. This hobby / business has brought endless creativity in my home.

What started out as a way to help me get over the loss of identity that comes with being a stay at home mom, ended up being something that brought us all closer together and for that I’ll always be grateful!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many really cool places to go and things to see! It’s hard to pick a few! One of my absolute favorite places to go is the Lazy Palm in Litchfield Park! Karaoke is always a good time, and the talent is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Nakama has the best Vegas rolls!

The west-wind drive in is also a must on the list! Especially in the fall! There’s just something so exciting about being under the stars and watching movies with your favorite people!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my family. I’m very blessed to have Daniel, my husband. He’s always by my side and ready to jump in where ever he can! He’s very useful for trips to Home Depot. Haha! I’d also like to thank my kids for showing me the world in a different light and giving me the courage to start this journey! My brothers and my sister, who always so supportive and encourage me to keep creating. And last but not least my cousin Sabrina who always knows just what to say. My circle of people are spectacular.
