Meet Austin James | Used car sales and finance expert

We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Austin, what are you inspired by?
I am considered 3rd generation in my family to own the business. Started in 1979 James Tire Sales helped give birth to my baby, James Motorsports. Established in 2012, James Motorsports provides Apache Junction and surrounding cities affordable and dependable used vehicles. My inspiration comes from my dad and my grandpa who built our family business from the ground up. My grandpa spent the early years filling a truck up with tires and driving through the Southwest delivering to trading posts and tire shops. My dad had a vision to turn our tire shop into a one stop auto service center that can tackle almost any job. Without their hard work and dedication, I honestly would not be where I am today. They have taught me so much through the years about perseverance and service to the community. I owe all my success to them, thank you so much!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I enjoyed designing the logo and promotional apparel that we give away with a vehicle purchase. I have always had a dream to own my own apparel line one day. Designing and manufacturing the apparel we have today has been one of the most rewarding things Ive done for the business. Everyone that realizes they’re getting a free hat and t-shirt with purchase really love their gear and that puts a smile on my face!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First off you have to take a hike on the superstition mountains. If you’re lucky one of our customers will take you to the old gold mines to sift through some dirt! The Sups are so beautiful and are one of Apache Junctions proudest landmarks. Next, we would head over to the Handlebar pub and grill where you won’t find a frying machine. Everything is grilled or smoked to perfection and they have a large selection of local draft beers. Another fun trip would be to check out our local manmade lakes where you can rent a sport boat for tubing and wakeboarding or just a pontoon to have a floating party. During December-February the water may be a little chilly but outside those months the weather is absolutely perfect in AZ. Last but not least we would pick a spot in the Desert to watch an AZ sunset to finish our day.

I would like to shoutout the city of Apache Junction! Our community is so amazing and they have supported our family business for over 40 years. Thank you for trusting us with all your vehicle needs!
