Hi Destiny (NaturalDess), do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes currently is “You are not missing out when you are working on goals, growing, and glowing.” Being a young woman in my early 20’s I tend to have FOMO (fear of missing out) a lot. Everyday we grow older and I get worried about time escaping me. There’s a lot to do and always something going on between clubbing, events, trips, game nights, etc. Multiple times I’ve overwhelmed myself to try to do everything and say yes to everyone. I’m at a point now where all I want to do is be better and achieve goals. This means there’s going to have to be sacrifices of missing things and that’s okay. It’s so important to take inventory on the things and people that either contribute to your life or do not. This quote helps calm my anxiety when it comes to passing on invites and stay focused on where I’m going.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My creative name is NaturalDess. I’m an artist, YouTuber, and soon to be entrepreneur. My music has been part of my life journey the longest. I’ve loved writing songs since I was little. My genre is R&B/Pop and I have music on all platforms. What sets me a part is that there is no one box I fit in as far a as my personality goes and I think that shows in my music. I’ve always strived to be different and tend to always think different from the crowd. A few of my influences are Jhene Aiko, Arianna Grande, DaniLeigh, and H.E.R. Along with my music is my YouTube channel that I am very proud of. I feel like my channel helps track my story. I personally edit most of my vlogs myself as well so I love to look back and watch them. My YouTube really helps promote my brand because it’s just me being me navigating my early 20s in the crazy times we live in today. As I go through life experiences, I hope my journey can inspire others to be themselves and continue to strive for whatever they want to do. My name is NaturalDess because I always want to exhibit me in my natural element doing what I love while being myself. It’s easy to lose yourself through adulting, social media, and other worldly influences. I want my audience to find authenticity and comfort in my content.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take my bestie to Scottsdale first. I love the vibe and aesthetic of Scottsdale. We’d hit up Fashion Square mall to buy our fits for the night in Old Town and go to AZ88 for dinner. I definitely would have to squeeze in brunch for everyday of the weekend and go to Breakfast B*tch, Hash Kitchen and then somewhere on the Scottsdale strip too. Then chill by the pool, maybe hike a mountain if I’m feeling energetic.
