We had the good fortune of connecting with Raza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raza, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I’ve loved music my whole life. I’ve been working at my career in music for 6 years now. When I have the feeling of “is this worth it” “do people care what I’m making” “do I give up” I remember. I remember my story, the people I’ve met in this industry, every milestone that gets me one step closer. I remember how the process is more important then the destination. Even though it crosses my mind more than others think, in reality, I will never give up.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to think of myself as anomaly, not in a stuck up way, but more in a way that we are the only ones who truly know what we have been through. It’s taken hard work, dedication, blood, sweat and tears. I’ve personally overcame a lot of obstacles by, self belief, my faith, and even motivating myself by not wanting to just be like everyone else. I’ve learned and learning countless lessons, but self belief is powerful. That’s where you stop to care what others think about you and just DO. I’ve had my motto since day one, “Turning Pain into Power” it’s helped me to help others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Where I live in Auburn, CA it’s such a cool place in the middle of everything. Things to do that I love and support.
