Meet Rita | Digital Artist and Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rita and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rita, what’s your definition for success?
When other people look at my work and feel the same as me – I think it is a real success

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been drawing since I was a kid, photographing since I was 8 years old and I’ve always been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. After finishing high school, I studied mechanical engineering at university and began working as an engineer. In 1990 – I began my first steps in Israel. New Language, new Reality. In these days I was really thankful to my parents, for my technical education. When I found my first job as a drafting woman and a few years later as a mechanical engineer – It allowed me to live and get payed for my job in the new country. During the next 8 years I studied new fields and began working in IT technology ant at the following 20 years worked as a software engineer. BUT – all my life from elementary school, trough University and many years of work – I continued studying art, history of art, and to make art. It was photography and digital drawing all along.
In all these years I was featured in many exhibitions and have prizes from different Photography competitions.
from 2008 my photography was presented for sale in some of the biggest world Photography sites (Alamy, Getty Images, Shutterstock…)
I saw my works on the First page of Magazines and Books all over the world.
Four years ago – I finally became a full-time artist and photographer. It was not difficult for me to use the possibilities of computer programs, to create not only works based on photographs, but also completely new works. And then I discovered a whole world with unlimited possibilities.
I can start from the shape, combination of colors, shades, or just from my impressions and mood – and here, only my imagination leads me.
Today you can see my artworks in Israeli Art Galleries (Noya Art and Yotzrim Gallery) and Curated Internet galleries as Saatchi Art, Fine Art of America and Artling (Singapure).

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think about my family – the support I got from my parents since young age: I studied drawing, photography, visited museums in my hometown and in other cities. They took me to the best guest exhibitions in Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( I remember a great exhibition of Nicholas and Konstantin Roerich and other) and to gorgeous museums in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
All that allowed the possibility to see and fall in love with the World of Art. In the last years, my family supported me in the transition to full-time creation activity.
