We had the good fortune of connecting with jayhan edu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi jayhan, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
For me success is when you made the difference in other people’s lives. It is when you become a part of their story to tell. It is that moment when that person makes a significant change and impact whether in his/life or in his community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Starting your own business was indeed a dreadlock process especially when you don’t have a Capital, or no one trust you nor wants to help you. I remember my first years, even my own husband didn’t trust me and believe in me. But I still go ahead and jumpstart the business with no capital at all.

I was working as a license vocational nurse in a nursing home, and I was looking for something different. I thought I wanted to help my fellow nurses because we always experience shortages for nurses. It was there that I found my niche.

The process was tedious because I have no one to support me I often find myself fighting with my husband and because I don’t have family here no one also wants to trust me and lend the money. So, what I did while I was working as a License Vocational Nurse, whatever payment I get, I used it to slowly build the business until such time that I got so busy that I can no longer work full-time.

Months have passed and I slowly grew my business from 0 to 6 figures. But struggle was just the beginning. As you grow your business you needed more money, you needed more capital to fund your business. I had to cry and beg for my husband to lend the money from his 401(k). But because he didn’t trust me, he gets scared that I won’t going to be able to make it. I couldn’t do anything but one thing that I know is that every time I encounter or having difficulty I just go to my closet and pray. I fight my battle through prayer.

Sure enough after I cried and give all my worries to the Lord my husband agree to get the money from his 401(k) which was about 20,000 back in 2015.

But one thing I always learned that no matter how much we tried to pursue things, if it is not God’s will, you can’t really do anything about it.

What I wanted the world to know about my story was that my business was built by faith. Looking back of how I made it to where we are now, I gave God all the Glory.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, I wanted to ask if they had already explored the city or where did they go so far. I wanted to make sure that I bring them to a place that they haven’t been to. Ask what their interest are and start from there. I wanted to make sure that the place they will be visiting is something that they are interested in. What are their food preferences?

By doing that, it means you are more interested in them than what you are trying to show them. I think it is more fun and interesting if your guest will enjoy the most in the places and food of their preference.

Once I know this information, then I can start suggesting places to check out. It is also a way of showing them respect because you consider them in planning.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to our Partner Metta World Peace. He has been an instrument for our success. He has been a big help for all of us. For mentoring and pushing us beyond our capability. I also wanted to thank my team for aligning with our vison and mission. They were my backbone through our ups and down. Ezcarelink will not be in this position had they not see the vision and mission of the company in revolutionizing the nursing staffing industry.
