We had the good fortune of connecting with Sue Kuraja and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sue, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
WIFS Phoenix, – Women in Insurance & Financial Services Phoenix, has created a platform for women in business. The Counting on Her Podcast allows WIFS to pass the mic to a fellow female in the industry. It gives her a voice where her voice has gone unheard. While only 16% of financial advisors are women, 30 Trillion in assets will be controlled by women through 2030. This generational wealth transition is also known as the Great Wealth Transfer.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Non profit volunteer models can be difficult to recruit to, especially when you are establishing a brand new chapter. Give your team grace and provide a trusting environment where they can foster leadership and grow.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Morning hike @ Camelback Day spa treatment dip in the pool (Alvadora Spa)
Lunch with a view (Royal Palms)
Shopping: Old Town Scottdale
Tea at Tea Time Scottsdale
Western Spirit: Scottsdale Museum
Dinner Steak 44
