We had the good fortune of connecting with Shania Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shania, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly My thought process was amazing because of the feed back that I was getting I just knew I was going to make it far with photography
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Honestly I was happy to start my own business I never thought I was going to be a photographer until my sister from church ( Erika ) noticed that I had really good angles and I was only taking photos of myself on an android phone so one day I bought a camera from my friend Ralph and I started taking photos of flowers and the sky and then I met a guy name Alan Rocdwell he taught me how to do videography and I shot two of his videos and he posted one on Facebook and I had got a lot of feed back from my church family, family and friends so then ( Erika ) told me about a Community College called WCCCD ( Wayne County Community College District ) that they were doing photography college courses and I should go to learn more about photography cause I had a lot of potential. Then after I finished I started getting bookings from there. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is it’s not about the camera it’s about the person behind it’s their vision. Something I want the world to about my brand is it’s only going to get bigger and better you can do anything you set your mind to
