Meet Charles Narcomey | Wedding Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Narcomey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charles, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Over the years I have found success is a conscious decision. It is being too dumb to give up when all the odds seem stacked against you. Grit will take you further and faster than talent ever will. Do not misunderstand me here. You have to practice your craft, work to be the best at what you do, and be the dummy in the room and ask stupid questions.
It’s a mindset of success. I never allow myself to think “I can’t do this” rather how can I turn this optical into an opportunity.
Don’t give up! That is my secret and a lot of prayer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am 100% about the experience as much as creating a timeless album for couples. On more than one occasion couples and wedding parties have noted how they love the “hype”, and I bring the hype. Most people feel awkward in front of the camera, I get that. So I aim to connect with each couple and help them relax, laugh and have a good time. Getting your photo taken should be fun and I make sure it is.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you came to visit me in LHC AZ, the first thing we would do is hit the Lake! We would hit the water at sunrise and wake surf for a few hours. Around lunch we would head to The burrito share for so amazing fish tacos. To beat the heat we would hang our poolside until closer to sunset. Once the heat rolled off a little we would do a small hike at Castle rock and watch the sunset and stars come out!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Holly has always been my number one support. She has worked with me on wedding days, she always makes sure I have all the gear I need, and truly believes in me to succeed. Besides my wife, LHC photography community has been such a support to me. People like Sierra Erickson with ink and ivory photography, Emily Rose of Little Laurel photography, as Brooke Bahde of Brooke Bahde photography.
The wedding community as a whole has been so supportive!
