Meet Inferno Drag Show | Drag Entertainment Group

We had the good fortune of connecting with Inferno Drag Show and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Inferno Drag Show, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Inferno Drag Show is all about creating safe entertaining spaces for not only the people with-in the LGBTQIA+ community, but also each and every single one of our patrons and their families! Drag is for everyone and by being visible and living our true authentic lives we can and do inspire so many people to be themselves and to be proud of who you are never afraid or ashamed. We believe there is a place for everyone in this world and will continue to spread peace and love through the art of drag!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Inferno Drag Shows mission has always been to bring a fresh and diverse take on the art of drag and live performances guaranteed to make you sweat! Believe it or not our little show started with the 5 of us in our bedrooms during the Covid-19 Lockdown! We would do a weekly live stream on twitch and Instagram live and perform to whoever would watch! (mostly ourselves) as we were able to start doing in person performances again we took this opportunity to really work and invest into our art and show as a business rather than a hobby. That’s when we had stumbled upon Kähvi’s disco brunch that they held once a month and brought up the idea of introducing a once a month Drag Show collaboration with their already existing Disco brunch and the rest is history! We have consistently sold out every single show we have done since January of 2022 and are still going strong with our new night show called “Beat The Heat” now at Kähvi every first Friday at 8 PM! As well as our monthly Drag Brunch every last Saturday of the month also at kähvi! As with any group of artists our ideas can sometimes be conflicting and many challenges arise but us being 5 people strong makes it possible for us to keep pushing and pick each other back up when we fall!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and foremost we would start with Drag Brunch at kâhvi to enjoy a delicious buffet and some mimosas! Right next door the monorchid has some really unique art and clothing items for us to go enjoy! And then then for night time Drag we will definitely be going to Kobalt on central and The Rock in the melrose district to see more local talent and have a cocktail or 4!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course our success would not be possible with out the help and support of our community and patrons, but we have to shoutout Kähvi Coffee and Cafe in downtown Phoenix. They have graciously opened their space up to us to provide us with a gorgeous venue, amazing employees and staff, and of course their amazing selections of brunch, cocktails, and coffee keep us fueled to keep the party going! As well as our inferno drag team Pyra Addiction, Rosie C. Savage, Burandy J Wine, Lucy Purr, Kyass Savage, and of course the lovely and very talented @ photos by asa for keeping us looking so beautiful and capturing all the fun at our events!
