We had the good fortune of connecting with Jewel Anna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jewel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
You cant live half of your life working and not enjoying what you love to do, it just isnt possible to enjoy your time on this earth and do something you hate for a majority of it. I strive to create a safe space for people who come to enjoy my content and I want them to feel empowered. I want people to know they can do whatever they set their minds to, whether its moving across the entire country for a change, or simply getting a less stressful job. For me, I did both. There is creativity in most things, you just have to find it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
“Oh, you take pictures”. Its the first thing I usually hear from people when I am asked what I do. Its more than that. Yes, there are thousands of digital creators out there, influencing how we dress, speak, what we eat, where we shop, but one thing some of them wont tell you is that feeling in your stomach when you know you just took some fire photos, or the feeling of someone telling you they just bought a outfit because YOU posted it and when they first put it on they could finally see themselves as everyone else sees them;beautiful. Its the rush of doing something you love, knowing you are working towards building something great, being able to do something that you could quite literally do for the rest of your life. The outfits, the lights, the camera. There is something for everyone and those three things are for me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Funny thing is, I haven’t got to explore Arizona as much as I have wanted to quite yet. One thing I absolutely LOVE doing is going tubing. I love the feeling of relaxation just having a drink and floating down the river; with no care in the world. Its just you, your friends, the heat, the water and a good time. I LOVE the little country bars where you can go and line dance or do kareoke. Kareoke is a HUGE thing of mine. I would say I go no less than two times a week. I also am a huge fan of the zoo, or anything animal related. I love anything thats fury and walks on four legs (lol).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely say that my best friend has had a lot to do with where I am in my life along with my amazing boyfriend. Both of them have pushed me to do better and make me feel more secure about the steps ive been taking in my life. Without them I dont think I would be where I am now. I always used to question myself to them like “is this a good idea” or “am I being too ambitious” now im more sure of myself and the decisions made. I love the support system I have and I wouldnt trade it for the world. I encourage anyone reading this to add more encouraging people to your life if you havent already, it really makes a difference.
