We had the good fortune of connecting with Shamyra Arnold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shamyra, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was wanted something for myself and my kids. I wanted something i could call my own and be proud of it. The other part of this was i wanted something natural besides taking pain pills for the rest of my life, I wanted an alternative than medication.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My goodness where do I start. I originally started making CBD products for my pains i honestly was tired of all the medicine that was giving to me and needed a change. I made my first muscle rub and felt i had a winning product because it worked. So i started from muscle rubs to next making stylish candles. With such a Saturated market with candles and body products i knew i just had to make something cute and give over the top customer service.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Okay so I love Sedona Arizona the scenery is amazing so much to do and see and be in nature this is my idea of a good time. Doing the Jeep tours seeing the formation of the rocks going to the Cathedral the back drop there is an amazing view. I love small town vintage shops and cool eateries.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, friends and coworkers have been my biggest support system from the start. They have tested my products, they have stayed up with me finishing order getting ready for pop ups and markets. One good friend help me decide on what i wanted to do with myself when it came to business he gave me that rough talk as well as listen to me rant on making a decision.
