Meet Natalie Schellbach | Aesthetician & Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Schellbach and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was never the plan when I started my career in the aesthetic industry! I would have never thought I would end up being my own boss. My background has always been focused in customer service and I have always worked for large companies. Working for other people has taught me a lot of what to do and what not to do. It is extremely important to me to deliver the best experience, consistency, and quality no matter how busy or who walks through my door. Starting my business was the only way I felt I could have 100% freedom and control to uphold these high standards.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The journey to becoming an aesthetician was not an easy or direct path. I never had the mindset of doing something you love and being able to make that a career. I thought in order to be successful that meant getting a college degree, getting a corporate job, working your way up and staying in that until you retire. So that is where I started. However, I quickly discovered that was not meant for me and I was unfulfilled and uninspired. I had always loved everything beauty, aesthetics, skincare and pivoted to making that into my career. It was a scary unknown leap but I am so thankful I did. My mindset was that if it fails, at least I tired. At least I will not have the regret of thinking what if.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have lived here in Arizona my entire life and am still discovering new and exciting places! I am finding a new love for Phoenix especially midtown/downtown area. I would have them experience the amazing restaurants and bars downtown and make it a point to goto Glai Baan and Gallo Blanco. I would then work our way through Arcadia where the houses are beautiful (goals) and drive through old town up to North Scottsdale where the desert landscape is unmatched. And then I would finish up by taking a mini road trip to Sedona/Flagstaff (a must).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
100% my amazing clients. I know everyone says this but I really think I have the best. Without them trusting and supporting me I would not be able to continue this business.
