We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Jimenez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?

I am Mexican American born and raised in Arizona near the border being able to adapt to both cultures while growing up was fun! I got to experience first hand the healing power of sobador (traditional healer), curanderas and natural holistic resources for healing the body, mind & spirit.

As well as Western Medicine, my parents would always help massage my knees, and legs as I suffered from literal growing pains. The power of touch therapy has always played a huge role in my upbringing. With using different salves, arnicas and ointments all naturally made for healing purposes. Influenced by all of this I was inspired to follow the path of a healer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently own & operate INTUITIVE MOBILE MASSAGE, LLC where I bring the spa to the comfort and safety of my clients space. During the pandemic a lot of my clients opted to stay in home and even after, needless to say they keep me and my business going. I am forever grateful for my loyal clients & friends. I am a certified sound therapist, licensed massage therapist with over 15 years of experience & I have earned my certification for clinical certified chiropractic assistant. Combining my extensive knowledge of anatomy & physiology has helped me grow professionally and personally.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If it’s my best friend then they’ll love everything we do! We would start with a morning hike to Sabino Canyon up to seven falls and enjoy the beauty of nature. Then we would get some coffee and one of the best local coffee trucks, Essential Coffee. I would then treat her to lunch at one of my favorite local restaurants Bison Witches where we can enjoy a delicious sandwich and soup in bread bowl. Dinner at Mi Nidito Mexican restaurant along with some yummy margaritas & then dance the night away at the Historic Club Hotel Congress to the sounds of the local group Tambó with their son. Tucson has so many hidden gems that every day we would be able to visit and hike and eat somewhere different. But ultimately catch the beautiful sun set from the top of Mt Lemon where we can see the whole city lights as the sun sets in the background..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like to shoutout my community of healers, massagers, reiki masters, energy workers, body workers and acupuncturist for offering the time and healing space for us all. The world desperately needs love, light & all the healing we can offer as a collective.
