Meet Nick Owen | Father, husband, and small business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Owen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by fatherhood. My wife and I just had a son on September 10th, 2022. Growing up without a father, I know firsthand how valuable a father is, and how important they are. I missed out on having my father in my life but instead of letting that get the best of me, I use it as motivation and inspiration. I’m beyond excited to have the chance to be the father I feel I deserved. I’m inspired to be successful and provide a great life for my wife and son. They mean the world to me. We want to own acreage someday, we have lots of dreams, and I’m determined to get it all for us.

What should our readers know about your business?
Patriot Property Services LLC was started in 2017. We focus on pressure washing and chemical-treatment of surfaces. We can tackle any jobs, big or small. We do residential, commercial, and even industrial properties. We can remove oil stains, rust stains, mold and mildew, and even graffiti! We offer a satisfaction-guarantee with all our work, and a veteran discount for active or retired military service members.

As a small business owner, I pride myself on work ethic and quality of service. I don’t feel good about myself unless I work hard and provide a quality service that can be truly noticed and appreciated. I guess you can call me “OCD” when it comes to my profession. There’s something really satisfying about watching a dirty, stained surface become clean again, and I love showing property owners what their surfaces are supposed to look like.

What sets us apart from our competition is our honesty and genuine nature. We walk our customers through each and every step, and explain exactly how and why each step is completed. To us, our customers come first – which is why they are so loyal to our company. (something we are most proud of!)

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take a visiting friend to Taco Guild in downtown Phoenix. They have the best food and they hand-make their salsas every single day! My wife and I love their food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother and my grandfather.

My mother taught me how to treat people and to always take the high road. She became successful by working hard and treating people right. I have learned a lot from her over the years and she’s the best woman I know. We’ve always been really close.

My grandfather taught me what love is and showed what a good man looks like. He and my grandmother were happily married for 65 years when he passed away. It was a devastating loss to our family but we always remember the good times with him and the things he said. He was such a great man and truly put family first – something I take to heart every day. He and I were really close. I named my son after him.
