We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittanee Troncoso and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittanee, what do you attribute your success to?
In my treats I use all natural and as organic as I can get ingredients to ensure your pets are getting the most nutritional value out of their treats. When making my treats, I pour my heart and soul into them. It makes me so happy to see how much pets love my treats. I started making treats for my spoiled dog, who has a severe corn allergy. It is very difficult to find treats, or even food without any corn or corn byproducts in them. So, I started making treats that many dogs with many allergies can enjoy! I am extremely passionate when it comes to giving pets a healthier option to enjoy when it comes to their treats. I want the pets and their owners to experience a special moment when giving our healthy alternative to other treats. People can feel confident that their pets are getting maximum nutrition from our treats, with no preservatives.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make many different flavors when it comes to pet treats. When creating new recipes, I do research to ensure that all ingredients are pet safe. There is always a trial-and-error period when it comes to making the treats. Professionally, there were many obstacles and challenges. I quit my 9-5 job to be home with my daughters. That is when I ultimately decided to turn my hobby into a business. We started out selling at local events and farmers markets. People were initially skeptical when it came to homemade dog treats, but as we started selling more and more, people and their pets enjoy my treats. I have learned that taking the leap of faith to do what you love is so worth the risk. I just want the world to know that, when it comes to people and their pets, I will pour my heart and soul into everything I do.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take my best friend to a few of my favorite shops here. The first place we would go would be a place called The Local Bodega. One of my very good friends is the owner and she and her husband have done incredible to get many local small businesses and artists a chance to show off what they do and make. Second shop we would visit would be is a place called BINge. My daughters and I visit that place on a weekly basis. The third place we would visit our local boba tea shop. There is a local restaurant in our small airport called The Airport Grill. Linda has some of the best burgers in Alamogordo in my opinion.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to say thank you to Angella from Naturally Balanced Farms. And my mom for always being there when I have a lot of prepping to do for our big events. And to my daughters for always being so helpful. Taylor Ojeda for allowing me to get my first experience selling in store.
