We had the good fortune of connecting with Rishabh Arora and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rishabh, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always wanted to guide people relying on online platforms to buy or experience products. Everything is digital and the future will be even more digital. Physical stores and shops are closing and the digital age is here. We, at Guide Media, aim to provide assistance and guidance in choosing the best product, whether it is a car, bike, phone, or anything else.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Guide Media started 4 years ago with an objective of providing just information on latest cars like reviews and news. Later we added a few members in our team and started providing consultancy over call, this concept was the first in the country, however after we gained some more subscribers, everyone wanted to talk to only me ( Rishabh, host ). As no other team member could matched the experience and knowledge, we had to slowly fade out this service as there were so many calls and we couldn’t cater them all.
Gradually we start making world exclusive reviews with more than 15 cars and gained trust and popularity among others. Currently we have shifted our office from a regional area to the capital of the country for expansion.
Reaching where we are today was a challenging task, and still is. However, all my team members are happy to face all the obstacles and are capable of crossing them gloriously. Taste of success and appreciations from all around the country keeps the Guide Media team charged and motivated.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh, there are plenty of places I would like to take him to and even a week won’t be enough. As we are currently working from the National Capital Region of India there are some famous historical places like Qutab Minar, Taj Mahal, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, and many more.
I am a foodie and fortunately, New Delhi has the best food in the world and I mean it. New Delhi has the best authentic food, Chinese, Indian, continental, french, Italian, and whatnot. From pure veg vegan salad to hardcore raw non-vegetarian, you have it all.
After some local historical landmarks and shopping, I might take him for a ride to the Himalayas which are just a 3-hour drive from Delhi, and will spend most of our days in beautiful mountains with delicious food and beautiful sceneries.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe that my parents are my greatest support, they believed in me and had faith even when I was doubting myself. Obviously the first year of business was full of rejections and I think these rejections made me strong and gave me motivation. Whenever any obstacle over shadowed my passion or dedication, my parents were there to support me mentally, emotionally and financially as well. So my shoutout goes to my parents and of course all the rejections I faced and still facing sometimes.
