Meet Christian Perez | Content Creator, Photographer & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I would say that it’s important to take risks. Do not be too comfortable in what you’re doing. Challenge yourself, and improve on your work. Always keep on learning but also be careful, take the risk intelligently, plan it out, and have a backup plan if it fails so that it doesn’t affect you financially or in any other way with your life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I first started as a Content Creator. Making YouTube Videos back in 2012 as a kid in middle school, Specifically as a Tech Reviewer, and throughout time, I taught myself how to properly use a Camera, learn the settings, learn about Microphones, Lighting, and Editing, and by learning all those things, I dove into Photography and Videography so it all connects. My brand is about covering tech and reviewing it. Talking about the features, specs, pros, and cons of the product. I started with basically nothing. Just using my laptop microphone and camera and going from there. Not knowing anything about making a video but I knew that I loved to do it so I just constantly learned and improved my videos. From the camera from my laptop, to an old camcorder, to my phone, to finally an actual camera. So with just time and effort, you can achieve whatever you want.
I feel like what really sets me apart is that I can relate to the consumers and viewers more than bigger creators since I am still a small channel and by being like that, I can respond to all the comments and answer any questions that my viewers have and help them
I’m proud of even though I am still considered a small creator, I have worked with so many big brands and companies that I looked up to when I was little and now I am Sponsored by companies that I’ve followed for years like GFUEL Energy, SteelSeries, Kontrol Freek, and BenQ just to name a few and I’m still growing. I’m excited to grow my brand to the point that I can afford to hire a team to help me edit my videos and script and shoot.
I kept on learning and improving my videos in any way that I can. I tried to be one of the first people to have a video out on a certain product while at the same time being professional to get all the views. It’s never easy. I’m constantly learning and trying to find out ways to grow by uploading on other platforms to bring those people to my channel to check out my other work. Creating short-form content, etc.
I’ve learned that it’s not always gonna work the first time. The first idea or plan may not work and that’s okay. It’s okay to fail but as long as you learn from it and improve, nothing gonna hold you back but yourself

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I currently live in Texas but I’m originally from NY and so there are some things that we have here that are not in NY so I would definitely start with that. For example, some fast food places like Cane’s, Chick-Fil-A, Whataburger, etc. We would go to Six Flags, go to the city and just explore. There is a VR place in Dallas to play realistic VR Games in a big room with sensors and gear. There’s a wreck room or rage room to just break stuff and smash everything with a bat or with whatever.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say that my father would be the main person that has supported me throughout my journey. He was there in the beginning and allowed me to convert my room into more of a Studio to record my videos and even get rid of my bed and instead put a desk from IKEA to do my unboxings. He helped me purchase my first computer parts from Micro Center to build a PC to help me edit my videos and stream on Twitch and utilize Software Applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop and that allowed me to continue to do what I love and learn and improve my content and it all started with my father. He never told me, no, to not pursue what I wanted, and was always supportive even though he didn’t really understand what being a creator was, he still helped however way he could and I will always be grateful for that.
