We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Bribiescas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been in the basketball industry for my entire life, played since I was six years old. I played in high school at Desert Vista High School, which I was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020. I continued playing basketball at New Mexico State from 2004-2008. In 2015, I decided to start my own business in basketball training. In 2019, I took ownership of the Lab located in Chandler. I decided to start my own business, B-ALL-IN Creations, in 2021. The thought behind the business was to cut the middle man out of the equation, as I would order shirts and jerseys from other companies to provide for teams. It just made sense to learn how to do it ourselves, since we were in a good position to do with all the things that I do.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
B-ALL-IN Creations has been pretty successful since the beginning of 2021. We are fortunate enough to have connections in the basketball industry who have supported our business. In addition, we have begun working with high schools that are local in the area who continue to come back each year to support our business. We are proud of the products that we have produced and continue to look for opportunities to expand our company; we have incorporated Direct to Garment (DTG) and Direct to Film (DTF) services into our business. We are a small business so, at times, that can create a challenge in itself as we are competing against larger companies who have been doing this for many years and can produce in mass qualities.
Something that I would like the world to know about our story is that anything is possible. We wanted to build something ourselves, and we did it. We take pride in providing services for our community, and bringing people together in a fashionable way!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I would definitely be outdoors. I would take them to Sedona for a Jeep tour to see the red rocks or go hiking. Some spots that are favorites for eating are Ghost Ranch and Mastros City Hall. I would take them out to Old Town Scottsdale at night to experience the night life and enjoy a good time while visiting.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to all the people who have supported my along my journey, my family and friends.
A person that deserves a little credit and recognition is my Co-CEO, Katie Pick, who has been with the company since it began in 2021. She handles the “behind the scenes” and creations with the company.
