Meet Trelly Mack | Music Artist & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trelly Mack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trelly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hard Labor started as a artist and development music label. The original goal was to help music artist learn the ropes of creating a music career. After a few years of service the business started to not go so well. In hopes to recreate the brand I started branding the logo on products to sell. The biggest seller ended up being a sweatshirt I created. From there I created a clothing brand and a online store and things took off.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a entrepreneur definitely takes alot of sacrifice. The hardest part for me is having to wear so many hats at times. It gets overwhelming. I have gotten better at outsourcing work which helps lighten my load so I can focus on more specific areas of creating. I believe this has helped my brand grow. I have created a system which I believe is a key in growing a business. Being a online store I dont have to worry about overhead cost of having a brick and mortar store. This allows me to invest more money back into my business. I started my store online because at the time I was looking at the likes of Amazon, Ebay and Esty. Seeing how they were changing the online shopping experience. I knew that’s the direction I wanted to go. The online store was up for about year and yes it was rough. No sells, customers or traffic. Around the time of the pandemic is when sales started to surged. Since our 3 years in business I’ve learned that not everyone will see your vision. Dont take criticism and feedback to heart. Instead use that perfect your craft. When it’s all said and done I want Hard Labor to be a household brand like Nike. I eventually want to sponsor high school athletes, stundents and entrepreneurs.
