We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Breitenberger and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniela, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal is to be full-time self-employed while having the opportunity to roam around and work from anywhere in the world. I’d love to be able to merge all my passions, photography – nature – sustainability, into one business. I have some sort of a plan, but for now, that remains a secret.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Creating content for postcard prints I’m selling as well as content for my social media accounts and also for myself definitely keeps me on my toes besides working a full-time job.
Having that said, I’m so proud that I made the step to tie in my love for sustainability with my passion for photography by selling postcard prints of my photographs in collaboration with an Irish tree-planting business.
Nature is something that inspires me the most and always will and I wanted to share that more than just online. I get excited about Nature and it makes me go out there to take more photos, and see different perspectives. There’s so much to explore.
As far as I can remember, I’ve always owned a camera and practiced whenever and wherever I could. All I’ve learned about photography so far comes from going out there and taking more and more photos of all kinds of things. Especially from growing up in Austria and living in Ireland for the last six years I continuously have so many wonderful landscapes to practice at my doorstep. Alongside that, talking to others who have the same passion can teach you so much and give you different points of view.
The challenges I’ve faced I believe are the same ones that come with every other hobby or job and being a photographer is definitely not always easy either, especially if you’re also trying to start your own business and social media trending on video content. Thankfully though the need and desire for photos are still there! Besides that, who doesn’t love a good challenge?
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is going out to so many, I’ve received a ton of support from my family and friends always. To my family who say they are my biggest fans, I truly appreciate them all for every word of support and the love they share toward what I want to accomplish.
To my friends who always give their honest opinion and encourage me every step of the way. And to one dear friend who’s been my biggest supporter, who’s helped me grow and learn so much about photography over the last few years for which I’m so thankful.
