Meet Brandon Pollard | Owner/Operater of LP Health Directions

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Pollard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Our business helps our communities by providing safety training for those that care of the most vulnerable. The majority of our clients are daycare workers, nurses, and caregivers. We provide this training at a reasonable price, using the most advanced equipment, and utilizing the most up to date guidelines. This allows more people to become well trained to help if an emergency situation should arise.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are most proud of the service we provide for our communities. Teaching CPR and first aid is so rewarding as it allows Michael and I to be a vital part of preparing people to save lives. We started this training business 9 years ago with just a few classes a month and have built it to become one of the most utilized resources for businesses, schools, churches, professionals, and students throughout Arizona. It took nearly 3 years before we even saw a profit and 7 years of working full-time jobs before we could both dedicate our entire careers to growing LP Health Direction. The most valuable lesson we’ve learned, business-wise, is the importance of perseverance and persistence. If there is one thing we would want our community to know about us and our business is that we are dedicated to making our communities safer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our favorite spot for dinner would be one of our three favorite sushi restaurants. Sushi Vibe for the comfortable and hip atmosphere, Yama Sushi for the can’t-be-beat happy hour, and of course Harumi Sushi for the purple rice. If you have a Sunday morning free come check out our Gay Varsity kickball team at Encanto Park (go LadyBugs). For a night out we frequent our neighborhood local bar, Bar 1, or chill on the patio at Kobalt. For shopping or for an afternoon movie we’ll head north to Desert Ridge Marketplace. If you love to hike don’t miss the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, check out Wind Rock Trail between 12th street and 16th street north of Northern, the trail is often people-free.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my husband Michael Lomas, who has been by my side throughout our journey in creating our business.
