We had the good fortune of connecting with Lily Marie Antonini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lily Marie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor in my music career would be my team, which for me, is God and my family. Having faith, never giving up, having a positive attitude and shooting for the stars, even when things seem impossible is something that is very crucial in my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a bilingual singer/songwriter who specializes in pop, dance, and disco genres, but have also created albums in hip hop, rap, jazz, latin, religious, a-cappella, and more, totaling more than 166 original songs which can all be found on Spotify, I Tunes, Apple Music, & everywhere else!

What would set me apart from others would be that I have Synesthesia, so a lot of my senses intertwine, such as seeing music in color, feeling it physically on my body, tasting, smelling, as well as other senses that intertwine. I believe having this helps me to be able to create over 10 songs a day that sound different and catchy from one another because for me, it is like creating a painting in the air. This is also a rare thing that only some people have, including Mozart, Elton John, Billy Joel, Marilyn Monroe, & more that you can find online!

One of my biggest accomplishments would have had to have been chosed in being the first bilingual Synesthete student/alumni to perform 18 bilingual originals at the Berklee Performance Center on July 2022, with a band and dancers of 50+ people from all around the world. This was a monument in my career and such an honor that will always stay close to my heart. The full show can be found by typing “Lily Marie Antonini – Berklee Performance Center”

Getting to where I am today took all my life. Ever since I was 4, I would be involved in all performing and visual arts, from dancing, modeling, singing, playing piano, acting, and more. I believe every little thing has helped me to grow and improve to become a better person than I was the day before. There will always be challenges, but everyone should try to make the most of it. The biggest challenge for my family and I was always the financial stuggle. We come from a low income family, but still try to make the best out of life and work extremely hard without breaks to live a decent one.

The lessons I have learned are many. Cherish everything and everyone in your life because everything happens for a reason. Everyone has a journey and will have obstacles coming your way, but like a video game, one must either break the obstacles or go around them.

I want the world to know that money is not everything and anyone, no matter how little they have, can make their dreams possible. Growing up poor, my family and I have accomplished a lot. As mentioned earlier, I have been able to release over 166 original songs which I self produce, mix & master, play every instrument and sing every vocal on, and write, in only 4 years with many more to come. I also make all the cover art and music videos from scratch. I do not have any fancy set up, but still try to make the best out of each song and edit with the tools I have. Going to Berklee helped me learn how to excell in many skills, such as producing, and even though I do not own a microphone to record, Berklee professors never believe me about that because I try to make each song sound just as professional as if I did have a microphone.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit me in my hometown Arizona, I would love to take them on a tour to the places I grew up around, especially Scottsdale. I was born in Paradise Valley and have lived in Scottsdale all of my life almost, so know the area quite well! I would take them to the Fashion Square Mall, which is like a second home to me. I would love to show them Arizona based restaurants, such as Pita Jungle, one of my favorites! I love to travel and do fun things so would find the best places to go, like kareoke, a possible roadtrip to the Grand Canyon, and shopping!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As previously mentioned, for me, God & Mary are the first ones I give all of my thanks to, since I am a devoted Catholic who has seen the miracles they have given me and my family. After them, I would love to thank my family for always supporting me and helping me accomplish my dreams, despite any financial issues that come across. Them believing in me is all the energy I need. Thanks to them, I was able to graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a double major in Vocal Performance & Songwriting!
