We had the good fortune of connecting with Ann Noder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ann, what do you attribute your success to?
Results. Reputation. Pitch Public Relations has focused on delivering outstanding media coverage for our clients. This dedication to real results has built our reputation and led our company to be completely referral driven. Unlike other agencies with robust sales teams, Pitch PR is solely focused on service. We are in the relentless pursuit of national media coverage with print, broadcast and online outlets and we are savvy in our approach to ensure we get our clients in the spotlight. This commitment has driven our brand and grown our company over the past 11 years!
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a former TV news reporter and anchor. I spent 10 years in broadcasting before making the switch to public relations. In 2009, I started Pitch Public Relations – a boutique firm specializing in national media for consumer and business-to-business companies. We work with leading brands and small start ups too. I’m proud to have expanded Pitch PR from a one-person startup to a thriving business with an outstanding team of 15! We have carefully worked to maintain close, personal relationships with our clients (and the media contacts we work with) and we’ve kept the same reputation for results, even as our roster expanded. Pitch PR has been honored to win Best Boutique PR Firm from Arizona Foothills Magazine five years and our agency has been profiled and featured by Inc., Forbes, Entrepreneur, Business.com and other key national press. We are proud to offer an array of services including packages for small businesses that make PR more affordable.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love Arizona. As I reside in Chandler, most of my go-to spots are in the East Valley such as restaurants and shops near the SanTan Mall (how about a trip to my favorite sushi place, Blue Wasabi?) or Downtown Chandler where new eateries are popping up every month. Downtown Phoenix is a great destination too for a restaurant crawl with places like The Arrogant Butcher and hopefully catching a Suns game. I think the state has so much beauty to offer, so would absolutely take visitors to scenic spots like Sedona or the Grand Canyon. The views are simply spectacular.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Pitch PR has an amazing team including our VP Jackie Copp, Senior Account Managers Melanie Anderson and Kirstin Robison and our amazing publicists. We have a collaborative approach to activities as our entire team works together on behalf of our clients. I’ve had some amazing mentors along the way. Nell Merlino, founder of Take Our Daughters to Work Day and the non-profit organization Count Me In, gave me the best advice: “You have to work on your business, not for your business.” And Tamara Monosoff, author of Million Dollar Moms, told me: “Leap, and the net will appear.” I’ve also had amazing family support. Both my mother and husband work for me!
