Meet Sheila Millette | Owner & Event Coordinator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheila Millette and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sheila, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Truly caring about my couples and surrounding myself with like minded vendors. My couples aren’t just names, I get to know them personally and take it very seriously that their wedding day is what they always dreamed of. Never make the dream all about profit. If you do your best and always be fair and honest the business will succeed as will the people who work with/for you. Your team has to be like minded and they need to feel appreciated and valued. Treat your clients and team like family.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For the first 16 years of my professional career I was a Correctional Officer. While I loved what I did it took a toll on my humanity and sense of caring for others. You always saw people at their worst. I decided that I wanted to do something that brought me joy and also brought joy to others. Doing weddings has definitely fulfilled that for me. I get to be part of my couples planning and executing their dream wedding. And along with that I have met so many wonderful and kind people and have become friends with so many. It gives me a sense of pride when I see my couples happy on their wedding day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely Downtown Tucson and the amazing restaurants and shops. My favorite restaurant is Cafe A La Carte at the Tucson Museum of Art. Wonderful staff and food. And hiking! Tucson has great hiking trails and Gates Pass has wonderful views.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many! My entire team: I couldn’t name just one it is definitely the entire team.
