Meet Melissa Kulish | Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Kulish and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Melissa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve been a dental hygienist and fitness instructor for years, but I kept feeling like I was made for more. I felt very strongly that there was a bigger impact I could be making on those around me. When the opportunity to become a real estate agent presented itself, I knew that was it. I knew that was exactly what I was supposed to be doing. The fact that I get to be a part of one of the biggest decisions in a families life while also helping my family is so rewarding. I know this is right where I’m supposed to be.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been a realtor since November of last year. As we’ve all seen, it’s been an interesting year for real estate. If there’s anything I’ve learned through it all, it’s that it takes hard work and dedication. It’s not easy and you’re going to have to work your butt off. I am a very driven person and have such a strong passion to help others. I work hard and put my time and energy into everything I do. After buying a home in 2021, I know how emotional the home buying and selling process is, and will do everything in my power to make it the best experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, we would hit up a workout class at my gym. We would then go to one of my favorite lunch spots, The Chopshop or Cafe Zuppas. Dinner would definitely be at Postinos or Culinary Dropout in Gilbert. Hitting up a comedy show at Tempe Improv or Stand Up Live in Phoenix would be on the weekend itinerary as well as going out dancing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have a huge support system. My husband has encouraged me through this whole process as well as my parents. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My friends are nothing but supportive and honestly make me feel like I can do anything. Friends like that are hard to find and I’m so lucky to have them.
