Meet Andrew Yoder | Husband, Father, & Custom Closet Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Yoder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We felt there was a need in our community for quality custom closet cabinetry that didn’t come from a large franchise or dealer network. Customers care about where their products are coming from and where their money ends up at. Local small business is able to provide the quality and customer service people deserve. Along with that need, I have developed a passion for closets and cabinetry and the benefits organization brings to our homes and families. There is no “one size fits all” solution to storage and the problem solving needed to create unique designs is energizing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I come from a family and community that taught the value of hard work. I starting working small jobs at a very early age and have worked in several different industries through the years. This has allowed me to learn many valuable skills and not to shy away from difficult situations. It has never been an easy road but the people you are surrounded by and mindset you choose each day contribute greatly to your overall success. From all of that, Elevation Closets has a culture of quality produced by hard work and customer service that truly cares about each customer we have the opportunity to serve.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Prescott area Arizona has been a wonderful place to call home. There are endless trails to hike and nature to experience. Spending a day walking downtown Prescott you will be treated to an incredible amount of western history along with delicious food. Our families favorite spot to eat is Limoncello Pizzeria and once we have enjoyed wonderful pizza we head over to Frannie’s to get some ice cream for dessert.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have been privileged to be surrounded by Sofi my loving wife as well talented mentors. Elevation Closets wouldn’t exist with out them. The loving support and life lessons they have shared with me shape who I am as a person today. In the custom closet industry I was privileged to learn from Rolando Ortiz at Closet Craft in Goshen, IN. His unique approach to creative storage designs and years of proven customer service pushes closets to a new level of beauty and function.
