What was your thought process behind starting your own business?

I have been painting for my entire life, but until recently, lacked the confidence to share that part of myself. My thought process came in different stages. First, I shared my experience with domestic violence with one person and then another and I realized one day that if I shared my life experiences with more people I could have a huge impact, even if it’s just one person.
