We had the good fortune of connecting with Adanna Murrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adanna, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
While naturally drawn to movement and action, I feel equally compelled by the beauty of stillness. In my artwork, I capture these paradoxical elements that sometimes seem at odds with each other, blending them together in my paintings to create a new kind of statement. I love to disrupt the pattern with my creative work.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
AfroZen® offers metaphysical enhancements to health, beauty & well being products. My holistic collections are created using natural ingredients with powerful energetic properties. It was created to share, inspire, and create solutions that improve the quality of life and promote spiritual healing. I am also a medium that offer intuitive readings that consists of ancestral readings or just gaining insight into your daily lives.
What sets me apart from others is that my products are infused with positive energies. I use crystals, stones, and other natural objects which makes it completely unique. You will see the details on what has been changed in both my products and services to make them helpful, restful, energetically clear spaces, with a range of options for you to choose from.
The pandemic made it very easy for me to sell my products. Lots of people were on lock-down and stuck at home with their significant others so I made a sex line spray that was a no brainier in this climate. My products such as “Sweet Yams, Ghetto Dick, Clit Juice, Grey SweatPants, AdickTION,” took off once I introduced my line to the public.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that we do things that are different. Being eccentric doesn’t make you weird. It makes you unique. And in that space of uniqueness, you’ll find my artwork and products by Afrozen
The lessons that I have learned along the way is that you must remain consistent in all that you do. There will be some days that you’ll want to give in and throw the towel in, but persistence is key!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some favorite spots that I have encountered in Dallas are Lava Cantina, The Gallery Rooftop, Reunion Tower, Upside West Village, The Loft. If you’re looking more for a relaxed setting, Murphy’s Lounge would be a great selection.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give recognition to my four children, my husband, my parents, and my sister circle of friends that has helped through my trials and tribulations.
