We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Camacho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, what inspires you?
I’m inspired by helping people find healthier alternatives to live a better life. I’m a big believer that when people eat better, they feel better, they do better and by that they bring more happiness and kindness into this world. I’m inspired to teach other people that in order to eat healthy you don’t always have to sacrifice taste. I’m inspired to help children understand the importance of eating natural things, such as fruits and vegetables and make that part of their every day life. Ever since I became a mom I understood more than ever the importance of health in our life, the everyday choices we make certainly make a big impact not only physical but in our mental health.

What should our readers know about your business?
The biggest thing I am more excited and proud about is that we are able to bring a healthy product to the market, adding value to our costumer’s every day life. Zen Empire has built a reputation on offering the most delicious, nutritious, 100% natural bottled aguas frescas with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Overall it has been challenging in the form that the company has grown so quickly that it’s been exhausting keeping up with the market, suppliers and demand. We have overcome those challenges by always keeping up a positive attitude and understanding and not forgetting about the main purpose of this company; having good health, a zen vibe and happiness in our lives.
The lessons I’ve learn along the way is that you always have to listen to your heart, and follow your dreams no matter what. Looking always at the big picture and aiming always to become everything you always dreamed of and the most important thing: BE BRAVE. I strongly believe that we all come with a purpose in this life and that is why is so important to always follow our intuition and our heart.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My recognition goes straight to my husband and biggest supporter in life Luis Vidal and our two kids Angel and Sophie Vidal who have been my motivation to strive for great things in life and set an example for them. Ever since I met Luis we always knew he had our goals and vision to open up a business but then we started our family with our first new born and we took the time to raise our growing children and give our 100% to them. After this years passed and they have grown and started school I started to feel afraid and anxious about what our next chapter in life was gonna be, until one day I had a dream, a vivid and realistic dream where I saw myself selling Aguas Frescas, it felt so real that the next morning I sat down with my husband having breakfast and started telling him all about my dream and that it could be a sign from life that its was the time to finally develop what I had dream all of my life, having our own business and all of our goals accomplished. That same morning I started writing down all of our ideas on a business plan, from taking a turn to the traditional form of selling aguas frescas, to having them bottled “on-the-go” to make it more convenient for people. We also came up with the main purpose of this company: delivering a perfect taste, healthy ingredients and an outstanding costumer service. That same day I decided to order the first batch of 150 b0ttles and from there we started our story… People loved the story and the taste. Our Zen Drinks proved to be so popular that we were able to sell 150 bottles in the first 48 hours. Zen Empire’s operation have expanded dramatically over the past 3 month brining us the idea that we can expand and create more.
