We had the good fortune of connecting with Aileen Ruiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aileen, what do you attribute your success to?
Several factors have influenced my success. Nonetheless, I believe that persistence, effort, and determination were the keys to open the door of opportunities to my life for many reasons. This has helped me to never give up, to learn from my failures, and to fight against the odds of being without my parents since a young age. I use every unfavorable moment in my life to impulse myself to do better
This mindset has helped the success of my brand in multiple ways as well. For example, this helped me to keep focused on my goals and stay on the right path. To always strive for more, and adapt to changes because the industry changes constantly, and you can never be successful enough. I strongly believe that every brand needs change, adaptation, and innovation not only to succeed but to survive in this competitive industry.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Since the loss of my parents, I have taken refuge in art and creativity. I can draw and paint in multiple styles, I like to teach drawing and painting techniques to my students, and I love to use art and creativity on digital media for my client’s business to bring their creative ideas to life. My personal drawings and paintings are mostly inspired by spirituality, positivism, and also some of my inspiration depends on how I am feeling. For me, art and creativity have been some of the factors that helped me to be where I am today. Thanks to this gift, I was able to visualize my future, a future where I was studying and working doing what I love to do.
I feel really excited for being able to share my art and creativity with people and be part of the success of a new business and also be part of established business projects. It has been hard to get where I am today professionally, but I believe everything is possible when you change your attitude and your mindset because different things come to you. For example, I have learned to use every tragic moment in my life as a key point to impulse me to follow my dreams and learn from my failures to grow and do better. I decide that I am the one who set up my own limits, not my problems, not my past, no one else besides me. Thanks to this mindset I was able to transform all the insecurities and fear into my passion.
I use this fraise because I strongly believe that certain moments in life are crucial for our personal and professional development and these moments can be the key point of our destiny. It just depends on us to use it for our benefit, to impulse us to do better, and learn from our failures.
I overcome the challenges by being Persistent. Positive, and put a lot of Effort and Dedication into my passion and my education. If something didn’t work, I tried to look for other alternatives to either make my plan work or I would change my plan to get in the same direction. The lessons I have learned along the way are to stay positive and fight against the odds. That persistence, effort, and dedication are fundamental to bring your dreams to life. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s possible if you want it.
What I would want the world to know about me and my brand story is that your fear can become your passion. Leave the doubts aside and just start visualizing yourself taking those steps. For this reason, I love to create inspiring visual storytelling, help entrepreneurs with the development of their brand, and be part of awesome stories.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love nature, adventures, and travel. I would take my friend to the Canyons, to Havasu Falls, etc. To an adventure to the desert like off-roading with friends and camping.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Francisco Ibarra. He has supported me since day one to follow my dreams. Since we meet, he noticed my creative side and pushed me to keep going for what I love to do.
