We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Buta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, what inspires you?
1. The thought process behind starting my own business was definitely the idea of being fully in charge of my time, energy, and income while doing what I love to do in the world. While serving the world in a way that matters to me and of course, in a way that is needed in these wild times of change and consciousness transformation.

2. I highly disagree with the conventional advice that you have to be in a certain way to succeed in life. That there is a secret formula to success. There isn’t. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We live in times when the more unconventional we are, the higher the chances of succeeding in whatever we do.

3. Risks have played a major role in my life. I took major risks just based on my gut feeling, like buying a one way ticket to another continent with just $500 in my pocket. Taking risks have helped me surrender and trust life, to genuinely trust it and realize that we are always supported beyond imagination. Life is our ally.

4. There are quite a few habits that helped me succeed. One of them is the continuous commitment to listen to my heart and what brings me satisfaction. Another one is resilience. I learned to be resilient in the face of adversity, building myself from nothing over and over again. Another is self discipline, especially when it comes to living a healthy life, from nutrition to working out or other well being practices.

5. The most important factor behind my success is my radical authenticity and transparency. Since I was little, I felt that I couldn’t be anything but authentic.

6. The most important lesson that my business has taught me is self mastery. More than any spiritual practice I tried, growing my business was the ultimate challenge of self mastery and still is. It takes so much to be able to do it in a way that really works for you. It takes emotional, mental, spiritual, physical stability. It takes a regulated nervous system to succeed. I guess that is why many people do not try or give up, however, it is extremely rewarding.

7. Over time, I realized that work life balance points to one thing: being in charge of my energy. Once I do that, I feel unstoppable throughout the day. In time, I managed to find the right structure to take care of all aspects of myself, my needs, wants, desires, priorities, creations, clients, and so on. But it took years of practice to actually be able to do it, while I am still adjusting and changing as I evolve and as my business evolves.

8. I realized how much I could have benefited from the support that I now offer to other people. It would have probably spared me years of procrastination, trial, and error. I needed to learn the hard way so that I can now support others. We all need support. In fact, support is empowerment. All great leaders have a huge team of support behind them.

9. I pursued an artistic and creative career because there is no other way for me. I strongly believe that we are all creators, whether we believe it or not. Often, we create on autopilot based on the programs that we have in our minds, and other times we create intentionally, ideally. Either way, we are creators, period. So I pursued what already comes naturally to me, nothing else.

10. I am inspired by life in general. By nature, by the laws of this creation, and by how perfectly orchestrated everything is, yet imperfect at the same time, giving us space to eternally create, explore, and grow. I am inspired by the catalysts and contrasts that exist in life as well, because they spark desires in us. Life is exciting, especially when we are able to look at it through the eyes of the divine child that I believe lives inside all of us, no matter what age we are.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m deeply passionate about conscious creation in all shapes and forms. I believe we are all powerful creators, capable of bringing anything to life when we put our heart and soul into it. Such has been my life journey. I have created everything I could imagine, out of nothing, really, while at the same time the creation journey still unfolds. It is an eternal process. The only limit lies in our desire and capacity to receive the power of creation and channel it through whatever form of expression we love.

For me, the power of creation is best expressed through writing, teaching, music, and dancing. I have built the entire foundation of my business on these forms of expression. I became an author and created a business that helps writers express their soul stories and become authors as well. I am a teacher and mentor, supporting others in embracing their creative potential and becoming who they desire to be. I am a DJ and a dancer, and I love curating musical journeys and events where people dance, celebrate life, and connect with the depth of their souls because that’s what music and dance do. They invite our soul to take the steering wheel, even if just for a moment.

I believe that through writing, language, and words, we understand God, while through music we feel God, whatever God means to each person. I see it as life, as the energy that exists in everything and everyone.

I got to where I am today by truly listening to my inner voice, call it intuition if you want. Since I was little, I always knew there was more to life than what meets the eye. Later in life, I experienced it. I had a profound awakening in my mid 20s that changed everything about who and what I was. For the first time, I felt unconditional love in my body. It was as if my soul had fully entered my body, making me feel alive and unstoppable, like I could do anything.

After that, I went through years of transformation, shedding the parts of myself that no longer supported who I was becoming. This part was not easy. Growth is not easy, period. At some point, we get used to it and learn to embrace and navigate it, but it is never easy. However, there is no other way but to grow, so we must learn to embrace it and enjoy the ride. That was my journey.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is that we shouldn’t take life so seriously, even though it often feels extremely serious. We are here for a limited time, so we might as well dream big and go after anything our heart desires. But we must find a way to enjoy the process, no matter how hard it seems. At the end of our human journey, when we look back, that will be the only thing that matters. Did I enjoy the ride? Did I give life my best?

If my life story and business are to make an impact, I want that impact to be inspiring and empowering. I want people to believe in themselves, in their creative potential, and to live with the confidence that they can experience anything their heart desires. That is the mission behind everything I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Costa Rica so there is an abundance of beauty here. I am actually doing private ad group retreats as well so this is great. I would take people daily through all the beauty that nature has to offer here in the lush jungle of Costa Rica, which reminds us of how beautiful and simple life can be. We would see amazing sunsets, have boat adventures, visit waterfalls, national parks with unique animals, and so much more. When it comes to social life, we would take part in conscious events and festivals that embrace the idea of community life, sustainability and simply enjoying and celebrating life, as well as purpose oriented events. We would eat the best tropical fruits and have empowering talks and reflection on life.
