Hi Alex, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For a Trap metal artist like myself, risk taking can be integral to my artistic expression, career advancement, and personal growth. Here’s how I personally think about risk and the role it plays in my life and career:

1. Artistic Innovation: Artists often push the boundaries of lyrical content, flow, and delivery. Taking risks artistically by experimenting with new rhyme schemes, storytelling techniques, or subject matter can set them apart from their peers and help them carve out a unique artistic identity.
2. Authenticity: Artists who are willing to be vulnerable and authentic in their music take the risk of exposing their personal experiences and emotions to the world. However, this authenticity can resonate deeply with audiences and foster a strong connection with fans.
3. Career Advancement: In the competitive music industry, standing out is essential for success. Artists may take risks by releasing controversial or provocative music, collaborating with unexpected artists, or pursuing unconventional marketing strategies to gain attention and expand their fan base.
4. Entrepreneurship: Many Artists also take risks in their business ventures outside of music, such as investing in startups, launching clothing lines, or endorsing products. While these endeavors carry financial risks, they can also lead to lucrative opportunities and diversify revenue streams.
5. Resilience: Like any career in the arts, the music industry is full of uncertainty and rejection. Artists who take risks and persevere in the face of adversity demonstrate resilience and determination, which are crucial qualities for long-term success.

Ascending from the gritty streets in Arizona, XOROCKO is a trap metal prodigy creating a new wave with his aggressive vocals. Starting at just 16 years old, he’s made an amazing impact on the underground music scene. Growing up in a dark environment full of Drugs, Money, & guns XOROCKO has found a positive creative outlet to show you the struggles he has hurdled to get where here he is today. I’ve learned to never give up on your dreams. If you have a set goal put it into action and give it some time, you’ll see where the progress takes you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week long trip to Prescott, Arizona, I would ensure my friends experiences the best of this charming town’s offerings. We’d start with a morning hike at Watson Lake to admire the stunning granite boulders and serene waters, followed by brunch at chickin waffle, one of my favorite restaurants here. We’d spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful downtown Prescott, browsing through quaint shops and art galleries, and stopping for drinks. Throughout the week, we’d mix outdoor adventures like kayaking on Lynx Lake or hiking in Prescott National Forest with cultural experiences such as visiting the Museum and catching live music at a cool venue. Savoring Prescott’s vibrant community and natural beauty.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
